    When was the last time you stopped and realized that the areas you struggle in the most are the areas that you are the most stagnant in. So that must mean that the opposite is true. The areas that you don't struggle in that much are the areas that you, for lack of better term, thrive in.     Does the perfect relationship even exist? Well, of course not! No relationship is perfect, especially ours! However, should you strive for your relationship to be as good as it can be? ABSOLUTELY! Mags and I will be the first to let you know we do not have a perfect relationship. In fact, we never want to come off as if we do. In today's episode, we talk through ALL the good, the bad, the ups, and the downs of our relationship.     Ep. 004 Are You Living Life on Autopilot?

    Today's episode topic was sparked by a piece of content Maggie came across earlier this week and it got us thinking. Why do so many of us live life on autopilot? Why do we so easily go through the motions? We can both admit, we've experienced seasons of our life where we were completely on autopilot, just going through the motions. In the moment, we didn't realize it. I don't think anyone really does. But, as we have grown (and we still very much working to grow more), we can look back and see that there were a lot of times in our lives that we weren't very present. We just went through the motions, did what was familiar / comfortable.. etc. But, where did that lead us? Better question is what value did that bring us? Not only are we living this "Against The Grain" lifestyle now, but we are living with so much more intention and focus. For us though, the question becomes "How can we get others to get off autopilot, and encourage them to start living with more intention?" In our episode today, we actually get into a great conversation about concepts you can start doing TODAY in order to help you in this area. One thing we both can admit is that living life with more intention is SO MUCH better than living on autopilot. It slows things down for us. It allows us to enjoy more experiences and create more memories. We hope you get a lot out of today's episode but we also hope you TAKE ACTION as well! You can live the life you want to live!     Ep. 003 No Sugar January: The Experiment

    When Mags came to me in the middle of December and asked me if I would do no sugar January with her, I shut it down pretty quick. What I love about Mags is when she believes in something, especially when she knows it will benefit both of us, she is resilient and consistent. Not in a pushy way but in a very patient and loving way. After I initially turned down the idea, she would randomly talk about what she was going to be doing, how she was going to execute, and sharing some facts and statistics with me about sugar. One fact that she shared with me (which ended up being the one that really shifted my mindset) was that 75 grams of sugar can suppress your immune system 40-50% for up to 5 hours at a time. For some reason that really hit me hard. I immediately thought of myself and my kinds and how this time of year, us getting sick is very likely. So, it got me thinking... "With all the holiday festivities, late nights, traveling.. etc that we all do this time of year, on top of all the foods, sacks, and drinks that are sugar-filled and we consume.. no wonder why we are so likely to get sick..." After processing that I was in. I was looking at this as an opportunity to do an experiment with myself to see how no sugar for 31 days would impact my body. Would I feel better? Would I be more focused? Would my sleep improve? I looked up all the ways sugar impacts our body from a negative standpoint and it was alarming. I thought to myself "I literally want to experience the opposite of those things." So, here we are, with a little over 1 week left and WE BOTH feel amazing! Today's podcast is more of an informative one. It's one that we you will walk away from learning a lot about sugar and the impacts it has on your mind and body. But, that isn't it! Listen through to the end because you will also leave this episode FIRED UP! We hope you learn and grow from this episode! We poured a lot of time and energy into it.     Ep. 002 Staying Strong In Your Personality and Truth

    You are your most FREE when you are TRUE to who YOU are! This is something we've realized has played a huge impact on our life and our growth. Mags and I have both live a large part of our life based on what others wanted us to do or how we were brought up. No saying that is a horrible thing, BUT if we stop and think for a second we that a lot of our decisions are due to our upbringing or what others around us might say or think. Rarely are we making decision based on our own truth. In today's episode, Mags and I go into a deep dive about ways we have grown in this concept AND we give yall some important things you can start doing to live YOU life they way YOU want to!
