Episode 5: Is Youth Wasted on the Youth?
“Kids these days!” It is an expression that we hear frequently, and more often than not, it is not intended to be complimentary. However, students in the Brunswick City School District consistently show us that the kids these days are doing some remarkable things. In this episode, join us as we talk with 5th grade student Molly. We learn about an incredible charitable project she organized for the Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center. With students like Molly, it is clear that youth is definitely not wasted on the youth!

Episode 4: Leading the Journey
Every journey needs someone to help lead the way. For us in the Brunswick City School District, that leader is our Superintendent. In this episode, we have an extended interview with Jason Niedermeyer. We talk with Jason about his thoughts on leadership, service, and the power of relationships in the Brunswick City Schools. We also learn more about Issue 14, the upcoming renewal levy for our district.

Episode 3: First and Ten
Not many things signal the start of a school year like a Friday night football game. From the Marching Blue Devils, to the cheerleaders, to the student section, to the community support, Friday night football in Brunswick is a fantastic experience. In this episode, we interview new intervention specialist and head football coach Kole Carter and junior football player Eli. We discuss how athletics help to develop the competencies of our Journey of a Blue Devil.

Music truly is food for the soul. It speaks to each of us in different ways. In this episode, we interview Gary Allen, Brunswick Middle School band teacher, and his student Landon to learn more about our music program and how it promotes critical thinking. We also are able to see another example of how relationships drive all that we do in the Brunswick City School District.

Episode 1: The Magnet
What is it about our district that draws people home? We wanted to learn more about what makes Brunswick so magnetic. In this episode, we interview Erin Kraly, art teacher at Huntington Elementary and a 2007 graduate of the BCSD & her daughters Aubrey and Autumn, both of whom are Brunswick students, to learn more about them and their connection to our district.
