    help! everyone is getting married!

back from a much-needed hiatus, sana and anaum unpack wedding season — half hater thoughts, half wholesome reflection. just trying to break the fourth wall of the orchestrated production that is a south asian wedding. in partnership with our fine fragrance friends @rahasya, who bottled the sweet, boozy scent of a shaadi.

Brown on brown violence and mental colonization

Coming off of Met Gala I thought I’d do some light fun yap about how history is always repeating itself as a result of colonialism and the mental colonization that consumes us all. Key topics include (1) The plight of Kashmir (2) Why i hold little regard for nationalism and have no loyalty to any government (3) how class solidarity is our only true saving grace in this world (4) George Bush, the war on terror, and the overall legacy of war profiteering and using propaganda as pretexts for bombing and occupation (5) how to stop drinking the kool aid. Because whether you are hindu or muslim or pakistani or indian or kashmiri, we all bleed the same.

Moving out and realizing u were a prude all along

In this week’s episode, “Moving Out and Realizing U Were a Prude All Along,” I sat down with my twin flame—someone I shared a bed with for four months—to talk about what it’s really like moving back home after college. We get into how weird it is to be a young brown girl navigating freedom, identity, and family dynamics post-grad. From the perspective of someone who OD'd the freedom of college life (getting food at 3 AM), to growing up with strict parents, to suddenly being on your own at a PWI, and then choosing to return home for free rent—it’s a mix of realizations, tension, and growth.
