Super A-Z

Episode 7 brings a divine double bill to Super A-Z as we look at Actraiser 1 & 2. From Godly city building to devilishly tough platforming, I explore how this ambitious duo came to be, who brought them to life, the reactions of the day, and whether they still reign supreme today.

After a bit of a break, we're back on the field for episode 6 of Super A-Z! This episode we take a look at ABC Monday Night Football. An American Football game that brings primetime flair to 16-bit turf. I look at how it plays, who made it, and whether it's a touchdown or a turnover.

Five episodes in now and I've swapped fighter jets for frightful fun on my alphabetical trip through the SNES library. This week it's Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, a platformer based on the cult Nickelodeon cartoon. I look at the creature swapping gameplay, the developers behind it, and whether it's a scream or a piece of garbage thrown at a small child firing spitballs at you.

Four episodes in and we're finally airborne on this alphabetical tour through the SNES library. This week it's A.S.P - Air Strike Patrol, a tactical top-down shooter that blends fuel gauges with firepower. I dig into its unique mechanics, the team behind it, and whether it soars or stalls.

Three episodes in and we've still yet to see a letter on this alphabetical ride through the SNES era. This week it's 90 Minutes European Prime Goal. A slightly lesser known football title released in 1995. Continuing on this alphabetical journey and I've still not reached the letter A! This week it's The 7th Saga, a tough as nails RPG with a reputation for it's punishing difficulty. I share my thoughts on the game, it's development, and it's unique mechanics. Does it stand out from the rest of the SNES library? Or is it just a standard JRPG? All this and more will be answered!
