Talk Deathy to Me

Join Host and Resident Death Doula Sheila Burke with Co-Host, and Resident Podcast ‘Undertaker’ Kelsey Jae Burke every week as they talk all things life, death, grief, and how to navigate conversations that you don’t have to dread. Sheila and Kelsey Jae, a mother and daughter duo from Cleveland, OH, join forces to break the stigmas associated with decidedly darker topics by bringing light to these moments. The ultimate success is in providing a re-conditioning that seeks to build comfort and understanding while diminishing fear surrounding these realities for their listeners. Birthed from the loss of a loved one and feeling a lack of honest, easy-to-digest, and accessible resources for people living with grief, “Talk Deathy to Me” aims to give listeners what the Burke girls needed during their loss: A place to be real and curious about grief, death, and dying that encourages people to not fear death, dying, and those harder conversations.

    Introducing: Talk Deathy to Me

Death Doula Sheila Burke and her producer/daughter Kelsey Jae Burke aim to create an atmosphere that feels like you’re amongst close friends over coffee, providing a safe space for everything from grief to confusion, to curiosity, and everything in between. Birthed from their loss of a loved one and feeling a lack of honest but easy-to-digest and accessible resources for people who are grieving or actively living in a Hospice situation, the Burke girls wanted to create a podcast that gave what they needed: A place to be real and curious about grief, death, and dying that encourages people to not fear death, dying, and those harder conversations. Cover your mirrors, take a grounding breath, and prepare to have an authentic conversation about death and dying. Oh, and don’t fear the reaper.
