    TWB: Child Development

TWB: S2: Ep11: Child Development ( How It Started) Hello, welcome back to Talk With Becky (TWB).Child development, this topic is very close to my heart. I have now done seven episodes focused strictly on a child’s growth and development, and my hope is to continue having these conversations every year. I cannot emphasize enough how incredible it has been to sit down with specialists, individuals living with special needs, and parents to learn and talk about child development, especially when it comes to special needs. Every episode has opened my eyes even more. And today, I want to share how this journey truly began for me. Ten years ago, I met a little boy who challenged everything I thought I knew. That moment shifted my perspective and planted the seed for everything I’m doing now.So, let’s dive into today’s topic.I’ll leave you with this question: What do you know about special needs children or neurodivergence? TWB: Child Development

TWB: S2-Ep10: Child Development ( A parent- A Father With An Autistic Child) Hello, and welcome back to Talk With Becky (TWB).I honestly don’t even have the right words to express how grateful I am for today’s conversation. I had the privilege of sitting down with a father who is raising a beautiful child on the autism spectrum — and this discussion truly touched my heart. It was such an important one because the goal isn’t just to talk — it’s to encourage. To remind us that fathers are just as needed and capable in this journey as mothers are. It’s also about awareness — because so many people simply don’t know where to start, what to do, or how to respond when life takes this turn. So, if you know a parent — especially a father — who needs to hear this, please share this episode with them. It might be exactly what they need to take the next step in their child’s development journey.Alright, let’s get right into it. 💙 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

    TWB: Child Development

TWB: S2-Ep9: Child Development-A parent, mother with an autistic child.Hello and welcome back to Talk With Becky (TWB).We are finally here, and I must say, I’m really excited about this episode.Over the past few weeks, we’ve heard from teachers, therapists, and professionals who work closely with children with special needs. Each of them has shared valuable insights and experiences, and one thing is clear, every child’s journey is unique. But today’s conversation is a little different. You see, while a teacher or therapist may work with a child for a season, a parent walks that journey for a lifetime. Their love, patience, and hope are tested and strengthened in ways that only they can truly understand. In this episode, I sit down with one of the most devoted and inspiring parents I know, a mother raising a child with autism. She opens up about the moment she and her husband found out, how she and her family adjusted, and the lessons they continue to learn every single day.One thing she said that really stayed with me was this: she, her husband, and their family had to learn, not just about autism, but about their child, so they could truly understand and help him thrive. It’s a powerful reminder that love grows through understanding. 💛So let’s dive into this conversation together, with open hearts and a willingness to learn. #talkwithbecky #childdevelopment #autism #adhd #yourgrowth #yourchoice #ep9 Hosted on Acast. Child Development

Hello and welcome to Talk With Becky. We’re continuing our series on Child Development, and in this episode, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Charity, a dedicated special needs teacher. Charity studied Special Education at the University of Zambia, and she shares how her journey has shaped both her life and her career. She opens up about the challenges she has faced, the milestones she has achieved, and the lessons she has learned along the way. This conversation is not just about her story, it’s also a reminder that every child deserves an environment where they are seen, supported, and allowed to thrive. So as we dive into this discussion, I’d like to leave you with a question:—What do you really know about special needs?—And more importantly, what role are you playing in creating a healthy, safe, and supportive environment for children to grow and flourish?
