Trevor, Steve. and Tom talk about the recent season including recaps of the regular season, postseason, and roster moves to date.

Recorded live at the team hotel in Huntington, WV...Trevor, Steve, and Tom were joined by special guests who talked about the Women's NIT championship game with the Redbirds taking on the Thundering Herd of Marshall. Guests included Joe McGuire, Jason Hartlzer, Cindy Greskiwcz., and Kathy Arbogast.

The men's victory over Dayton in the NIT Quarterfinals and women's victory over Abiliene Christian in the Super Sixteen of the Women's NIT were discussed along with a preview of the women's Great Eight game vs. George Washington.

The trio talk about two ISU victories. For the women a resounding victory over Texas Rio Grande Valley and one of the most exciting victories in men's basketball history over Wake Forest. Plus looks ahead to their next games.

The guys recap the men’s first round NIT game vs Kent State, and preview the women’s first WNIT matchup and the men’s second game.

We talk about the Murray State and Belmont games and how combined with the early December game against Northern Iowa, they have played their most difficult opponents. Also talk about the development of a redshirt freshman and how transferring from one school to another can affect a player.

Trevor, Steve, and Tom talk about the Redbirds' road victory over the Drake Bulldogs. They talk about the game and about some of the differences between last years' team and this years' team.

This episode talk about multiple games including Utah State, Southern Illinois, and Indiana State. Trevor, Steve, and Tom discuss each game with emphasis spent on the two conference game wins to bring their conference record to 2-0. Special mention of how Southern Illinois is usually a difficult place for the Redbirds to play and how while beating Indiana State is not uncommon, how we beat them is.

In their final game before returning to conference play, the Birds took on the Golden Grizzlies from Oakland (MI). But to start the episode the guys talked about the football team disposing of Villanova and advancing to the playoff finals to be held in Nashville. With those two victories, the discussion was definitely jubilant.

In this episode the guys talk about how the Birds started a little slower than anticipated but finished strong as they defeated Eastern Illinois 64 - 46.

Starting with ISU’s come from-behind, dramatic victory over North Dakota State in the football playoffs and finishing with the men’s basketball team’s win over Chicago State, the Talkin Hoops trio had plenty to talk about in this energetic episode.

ISU basketball teams went to warmer weather to play in Thanksgiving tournaments (Feast Week). The teams had different results as the men won their tournament in Orlando while the women failed to win on their trip. Trevor, Steve, and Tom touched on both tournaments but focused on the men’s tournament victory.

The game against the Loyola Ramblers was discussed. ISU got the W, despite having a player having a serious injury. Expectations of the game and how the win played out were a couple of the main topics of discussion.

The second game of the men's California trip, a win over Long Beach State, is discussed. Game was played on November 16, 2025

The guys discuss the road game against USC played at the Los Angeles Clippers home court the Intuit Dome. While the game did not result in a win, the guys talked about some of the highlights and what could be learned from the game.

The guys discuss the women's game against Chicago State. The game was played at ISU as part of ISU's Education Day which is an annual game that brings together educators and elementary school kids. The game is the highest attended game each year for the women's team.

Trevor, Steve, and Tom discuss the second week of the 2025-26 Illinois State University Redbirds' basketball teams. The women travelled to play the University of Illinois, while Cornell's men's team came to CEFCU Arena.
