After my four month work permit in Ireland ended, I headed to England on a five month work permit. Toward the end of my time at university, I was walking through the student union building and saw a sign next to the travel centre that said, “Work abroad,” and I said, “Ok!” I went in to ask about the program and the criterion was simple: you had to have graduated from university in the last 6 months. I immediately qualified! The permit would let me work in Ireland for 4 months. My time in Ireland was, as they say, a “good craic.” I would drink a lot of beer, eat a lot of food, go dancing, travel on the weekends, and work as legal transcriptionist.The podcast is about this experience and can be paired with the bilingual reader found on teresitatravels.com.

On our last night in Cuba, Chris and I found our bike tools stolen without a way to take the bikes apart and put them into our bike boxes. Half a dozen Cubans helped us solve this problem!
