THAT'S COOL... DRINK!!!

This dude showed up at a rocky mountain race week with a blower mounted to the chassis of his Fox Mustang complete with a 3rd pedal and even though he struggled that week, the hook was set and he was going to be back every year with something cool. The mustang eventually ended up with a turbo but kept the stick, and for a while he was duking it out for the quickest stock TKX car. He's got a twin turbo automatic car he brought out recently that is a menace to drag and drive and Brooks is one of the good ones. Once he gets it figured out, yall are in TROUBLE!he also runs BMF automation, the guy behind the reaction time carts at RMRW's, and BMF ammo, for your freedom seeds!

Scott is an OG drag week dude, from a fox body mustang with a grand national v6 in it (that his wife still drives) to his 3rd gen jet, a 427 LS with a huge turbo on it that is aptly named because it sounds like a jet when it's spooling up. We met in 2014, and we've been cool since. We reconnected at sickweek when Klepinger and his family were slinging hot dogs, and I was eating them with a quickness!Scott is such a cool dude and his cars are awesome. Come check it out!

Known as the Mayor, because he's from a town of like a dozen, Andrew has been in drag and drive for a while now. Starting with a big boat impala with a typical turbo 5.3, he made a name for himself in the 10.0 index class with the 10.0 ET limited impala. He got serious and got into a new edge mustang capable of printing slips with 7 in the front, and has since competed with that at a number of drag and drives. He now is, among working his "normal" job, doing tuning and engine machining now out of his garage.dough-pita is a g, this one was fun.

After the dancing and tiptoeing finish to shearing his lug studs on RaceWeek 2024, he heroically fixed it under the tower and went on to win the BMF shootout with his rowdy radial car on 235's. He was freighttraining folks with a turbo LS chevy colorado.Fast forward to MegaWeek (after this episode was filmed) and Josh pulled a rabbit out of a hat and tuned my Cadillac which was somehow wounded. He fiddled through HP tuners and made it not only rev but make some solid power after some drama with engines in that junk.Anyway, Josh is the dude. Happy to have had him on and happy to call him a friend now.

Heiling from the great white north, the Brandon's have been all over and done all sorts of things with cars in the past, to include their now 7 second legal/capable GT-R. The now drag and drive ride has done road rally work as well as some transcontinental speed work in the past, but has settled in nicely as a drag and drive contender. On a personal note, I love these two, and this was super fun to sit down and get to learn more about them!Check it out!

Eric is one of the Texas racers, and Stevie and I were lucky enough to be able to meet with him and his wife Crystal through the years, and he's also been a good sport about me making fun of his Toyota's.A dude that started with a turbo 2JZ powered IS300, he's been back in his Lexus GS-F as well, which is Toyota's version of the coyote, basically, a 5.0 naturally aspirated V8 that runs well in the 13's on street tires.This dude also helped get ol Corn Dog Tom's mustang in shape before he made it over for MegaWeek from the UK, so you know he's cool. He's also building Crystal a 68-72 pickup with a gen 6 BBC! Cool stuff.Check it check it check it out!

Builder and driver of the "nightmare" blown alcohol drag and drive Mustang, Royce is a staple in drag and drives now. We talk about drag and driving a roots blown monster in a sea of turbo LS stuff, what he's got coming next, and even a sneak peek of his wife Shaylese's new Camaro, which he's since campaigned at Big Sky Raceweek!Check it out! Nick is my best buddy's nephew, and I got him into drag and drive a few years back, where he met Phil. Nick has a CTS-V coupe and Phil a ZR1 corvette, which are powered by nearly the same engine, so the friendly rivalry was on instantly.This was a fun one watching a couple of friends chop it up and party with me on the cast. Check it out!

I can't believe I've done 50 of these. I wanted to make this one special and include Jason, who is the dude I'm talking to and having a beer with at Sick Week a few years ago, and when I decided to start doing something like this to highlight the stories of people far and wide.Jason is a hoot though. He's got the chicken coupe and of course Angel the amazing wonder dog!This dude has fed me, offered me a bed, and even the shirt off his back.We have a very cool story about a fellow vet that was (and still is) struggling. We take time when we're together to call him and do our best to lift him up when he's down, and it means a lot to that guy, and to both of us as well.Jason is just a solid, down to earth, amazing dude. And I'm proud to be his friend.

Raj is KNOWN for huge ass burnouts in his Olds powered 442, but who knew he had like 6 of these things?!??!He's a guy I had the pleasure of having a few parking lot beers with and we had some good conversations. This dude is a pilot from the Yukon Territory up in Canada, like on the Alcan highway kind of stuff. He's a nitrous fiend, and of course that makes him cool in my book, but what got him his start in Oldsmobiles? What gets in this dude's head as he heads south for just a ton of racing? And why does he just help with track prep and lick random fluids off of the racetrack?Tune in to find out!

Steve is a gangster with a couple of badass rides, but who knew he got his start in VW's and Honda's? I do now! A NYC based guy, he's got a 6th gen camaro with twins that runs well in the 8's, but it's tech limited to 10.0, where he typically runs it on RMRW. He purpose built a Grand National to come terrorize the 8.50 field though, and he's done just that, and got himself a big ol win at the shootout of 2024's FAF from Raceweek??? (I can't remember, these all start melding together at some point!!!). But Steve rules, and I'm happy to call him a friend, and this one was fun as heck.

Alan is hilarious and also wheels one of the baddest/heaviest street cars in the land. His 1970 Gulf Green Monte Carlo runs in the 6's and weighs 4000 lbs!!!!! SMX powered, he drag and drives this thing like it owes him money, and we'll talk about what got him his start with the Monte and what it's like having one of the baddest street cars in the land!

Dane is a super good dude that does a kickass youtube channel called "burndown." You'll find it when you find the one with the rooster holding a lollipop. He's a down-home mechanic on his show that builds cool stuff for low money and shows you how to do it too!He's the driver of the maliboom, that unfortunately had a water pump let go and get water under the tires at Thunder Valley Raceway in Oklahoma City, OK on a raceweek and stuff the nose into the wall at about 800 feet. Fortunately the car did it's job and Dane was in the tower and doing an interview with me just minutes after the crash, and he intends to rebuild the car to have it back for MegaWeek!He's also got a kickass turbo LS winnebago that he does burnouts with and overall has a blast building cool stuff for you to watch!He's also partnered with Warr Performance to help them with their social media presence and with some cool product development as well.This one was fun and I think you'll like it too!

I met Danny a long while ago in the Colorado drag racing scene. He's been a staple out there for as long as I can remember. Fast forward a few years and Danny married WAY up and in the process got himself a cool as a cucumber step-kid, Makayla. She grew from a shy kid to an absolute force to be reckoned with at any Rocky Mountain Race Week event, and even earned herself a Wally trophy at Pueblo Motorsports Park.This one is awesome and super family oriented. If you've been trying to get your kid into some racing, check this one out and see how Maykayla was immediately hooked, and how cool it is for Danny to watch her grow into her own woman, and racer, right before his eyes.

Owner of the self proclaimed "slowest twin turbo big block fox body on the planet", Gary is an OG drag weeker and racer out of the Kansas/Missouri area. He's also cohost of the Heads up racing podcast. We had a blast talking about hanging with superstars on our shows, and blasting around his ride with his friends. Gary was a blast, and this was a super fun show.

Danny is a globetrotter now, he's been on Rocky Mountain Race Week with his truck, and he's the dude known for selling it all to go racing. This one is special timing because he just announced that he MOVED to Thailand, and likely will be doing all sorts of stuff with the BAS shop there doing some diesel promod racing, and some diesel longboat stuff as well. Travis and Amanda have both been drivers and co-drivers in drag and drives, and even brought Kendall (still in a child seat) along as a rider in Amanda's G8.Travis' "show mod" Camaro has terrorized the rowdy radial category for years, we catch up with what they've got going on now, and talk about when we'll see the show mod back out!

EPSIODE 41, CHRIS (MFN) STORY!A photographer that quit his corporate job to snap photos for a living, as well as an Army Veteran, Chris is a buddy of mine that I keep running into all over the place, and I keep seeing his watermark on all sorts of absolutely gangster photos of the peeps doing the thing country wide. Dude is one of the real ones, and it was fun sitting down with him.

A regular of the show, Matt is back on the 40th episode of That's Cool... Drink!!!!It's always good to catch up with the dude, and this one was just a few weeks before RMRW in June of 2024, so we discuss what's happening for the week coming up, and overall just a good one to watch if you're doing a drag and drive in the near future!Love this dude, and it's always fun to have him on the show.

Chad and I (and Daphne and Cole) became fast friends on Rocky Mountain Race Week in 2015 and we ended up at a bunch of the same stuff from there on forward and had some super good times, but I never had a chance to pick Chad's brain about how/why he quit his high-paying corporate job to seek out automotive journalism at the highest level in the forum days. He can now be found all over the country, nay, world doing all sorts of bangshifty things and bringing it all to you, the viewer!This one was fun and eyeopening for me! Love me some Chad!!!!

This was neat to be a part of, Pittsburgh State in Kansas is very close to the Mo-Kan dragway, and decided to not only throw a little money at the class, but offer each racer in the Jr. Street Class on the podium a scholarship to go to school at Pitt State! How awesome is that? Give it a listen, and thanks to them for supporting Jr. Street racing!

Dino and his co-pilot Gary join me and it's my FIRST CASUALTY! Admittedly we were sipping on some hot rod soup (whiskey) before this episode and we lost Hot Carl by the end of it! Luckily Gary kept it together to finish up the episode, but I'm told that Dino was found passed out in the yard during a bathroom break and his wife scurried him into the house and she actually comes and sits in for Dino for a bit!This one was a blast, and we got way off the rails super quickly but it was so much fun and this one is worth the watch, for sure!Dino wheels the hot carl ventura, that was once his good buddy Carl Werner's ride, and he now beat's it mercilessly and does funny and weird stuff along drag and drive's now. He even has some "spray me daddy" stickers and some that say "butthurt?" so you know he likes to do the thing! check this one out. You'll be happy you did.

Out of Minnesota, Jason and Liz met while street racing in Jason's uncle's Willy's that he still wheels today, although now it's LS3 powered. He's also got his head's up small tire/small block mustang that's still Ford powered that he's also brought out to the drag and drive world, and he even took that mustang to a first round win over Bryant Goldstone in the shootout for Rocky Mountain Race Week in June of 2024.This one is long, but it was amazing to talk to these folks. They live and breathe this stuff and they're staples in tons of drag and drives and I'm stoked to call them friends as well.Check it out! Or else!

Ebben is one of the Rocky Mountain Race Week Jr. Street kids, and he rolls around in a Miata with the plate "zeropwr" and it has a stick shift to boot! We'll talk about getting into Jr Street racing, and what it's like for Darrin to co-pilot for Ebben's antics in the Miata!Check it out, this was a fun one! Plenty more coming after this as well!

These dudes are great friends of mine, and I've been lucky enough to cruise around the US with them a bunch... REALLY fast. This was a fun time, and Rich even had a couple of coronas, so he got a little loose, and I had to even change his name in the middle of the show.These guys are both quick stick shift dudes, and Rich went 8.51 on his 8.50 cert with his GTO and Bill has been in the 8.7's, but is looking for some more performance for 2024 and beyond to put some more pressure on Rich.We had some fun with this one, and I'm sure you will too! Grab a cold one, and buckle up, because this one is worth the listen... I mean they all are, but this one REALLY is.

You probably know Mark from his turbo LS LIMO, yes the one he took the whole 1320 crew for a pass in on a Rocky Mountain Race Week. A few years later he brought a super low mile turbo T/A Firebird with his daughter Mackenzie to run in Jr. Street and an index class and they had the time of their lives! This was a cool one to check out and if you're on the fence about bringing your kid to one of these, watch this one and prepare to be ruined!

I sat down with Clint Sodowsky, a former MLB pitcher and talked about going to the bigs while cruising his cool old Monte Carlo around during, and stepping WAY up into his Camaro, and having as much fun as he's ever had drag and driving that stuff. He's since put Jazzy, his daughter, behind the wheel of the ride and just listed the engine and turbo setup for sale and it'll be interesting to see what's next for that badass 1st gen!Check it out!

The Pickett's are gangsters. They showed up to a drag and drive a few years ago without a care in the world and with a kid in a mini seat in the middle of the back two sets of doors. The Buick Roadmaster sported a procharged LS in it's early iterations, and now is twin turbo and has the extra fun of the coffin trailer! It's a 7 second capable ride that turns heads everywhere, and they're an awesome family steeped in hot rodding. This is a good one. Check it out!

My first rookie of the year recipient, Danny is the dude that sold EVERYTHING to pursue a race life. It's not all ups in this life and he doesn't mix words, this life is hard, but it's a super rewarding way to live for sure. We talk his diesel cummins Dodge truck, his AWD DSM stick shift ride, and his trip to India to race a 3 wheeled cushman with 10 horsepower 2700 miles across India! Wild stuff.

I finally caught up with Jaycobe after having Alan and Hank on earlier. He's working crazy hours so we had to figure this one out, but I'm happy we did! Jaycobe is one of the 301 street car dudes, and he's Hank's kid, so you know he's got the sickness in his blood. He pilots the Silverback C10 squarebody truck that runs Big Block power. He's one of the cats we got to grow up at these things, went from a kid on the sidelines to a copilot to getting down with it with the big kids in the c10.Check it out!

A stick shift OG, and a drag week regular, John is a super cool racer, but also a super cool dude. He Coyote swapped his fox Capri (with the cool bubble back window) early in the coyote game, and of course it's got a stick, but his is a box stock magnum t56, and it runs in the 8's! He's also got Goldie, a gold-colored Fairmont with the same program as the Capri, but without the blower, and it does some insane burnouts. We talk hot rods and living a new life after losing literally a whole person plus, and he continues his movement in that world. This was a fun one!

Pat sits down with me and we talk about doing a Rocky Mountain Race Week on a GROM??!?!? This dude is a gangster and also at the exact same time, insane! I loved talking with him and getting some of his background and if you want to do a drag and drive on a bike, you should tune in!

Jason is one of those dudes... just a down to earth regular everyday dude, with an unlimited winning 6 second firebird! Owner and driver of the original Meltdown Firebird we'll talk about building that ride, wrecking it on RMRW, rebuilding it and ultimately swapping to a much better chassis for what he's wanting to do with it. Jason is one of my dudes, and I dug talking with him over a couple hours of beers (for me!)

Mike has been through a lot in the last couple of years, and most of it is because Drag and Drive did it to him. A 2020 RaceWeek competitor, he uprooted his life, quit his job, and started preaching the word of Drag and Drive from the highest mountain he could. He also puts on his own event called The Circuit! He's joined here by his brother, Stephen, the man behind the 2.3L turbo 4 MG, and Narxoleptic customs! This is a good one and I had a blast catching up with Mike and Stephen.

Matthew Frost joins me again, this was a pre-event driver's meeting for the 2023 RaceWeek event. Matt is always a good time on the cast, and this is a good one to watch for anyone about to go on a drag and drive, any of them. But Matt is always a good time on TCD!

David Williams is son of Robert Williams and has been in the Drag and Drive world for quite some time now, but he's also moved into a bunch of different varieties of motorsports, mainly Transcontinental racing, where he met Bradley. These two did Alaska speed week with an LS turbo 3/4 ton suburban, and they're amazing friends and it was a blast to talk to them about weaponizing their autism!Check this one out! It was a great one.

Denn Angelo and Justin Gilbert are a riot. They just show up to Rocky Mountain Race Week to slay the roadweek awards year after year. First the candy man van, that has a great backstory to it, and you can watch this one for that story... it's wild! But they showed up with this candy van, did a huge burnout, and tossed a literal pallet of Nerds Candy clusters at everyone throughout the week...THEN they one up themselves and bring something like 10000 otter pops and a trailer that has 3 a/c units in it and it's like a rave inside! There's a ton of good background for this one too!Add to that these dudes have regular corporate 9-5 jobs... who knew! This was fun and we do get pretty drunk during this one and it gets long but it's also very good stuff!

Robert Williams is an OG of drag and drive out of the "porkchop motorsports" stables located in Fort Meyers, Florida with a slew of cars, but mostly 2nd gen camaros and firebirds, a disco era nova, and the bizbomb, famous from roadkill. Robert and I have become friends through libations and cars, which are two of our favorite things. We also have our better halves as co-pilots now on this journey as well as life! This is a special one because not long after this interview, Robert had himself a big ol' heart attack, and survived it as he had it IN THE HOSPITAL! He's now helping his son, Robert Jr through a liver transplant and although he's going through a lot right now, he's still looking at what he's going to do next with a car and with Debbie by his side.

WAIT... what? Isn't this my show? I guess not this week! When I had Joe Barry on earlier, he mentioned he'd like to interview me for a week and we make it happen here on episode 17, so if you want to know more about me with the great and powerful Joe Barry asking the questions and running the show, check this one out! This was super fun to do and I am super grateful to call Joe a friend of mine.

This was a show to basically be a driver's meeting for folks just showing up to one of these events. This is a great episode for someone who is looking to go to their first one and get you an idea of what you should expect the first day or so at one of these.I always love having Matt on, but we got June this time too and that was super fun. She's a blast and not very excited to be in front of a camera with 10's and 10's of viewers, but she was a trooper and it was fun to have them both on, just a couple days before an event.

Daryl has become a mainstay at drag and drive stuff in the last 10 years. With his procharged big block 69 chevelle, first with a stick and back with an automatic, he rides with his wife, Michelle, and they have even managed to stay married this whole time!Daryl is a unique dude... no matter what is going on, he's always smiling. He's got a great outlook on life, and on racing, and it was a fun time to sit down with him and talk cars, and racing, and life.

Another family show out of the 301 street cars, we sit down with Hank Kronk, owner and driver of the Kronk racing fox body mustang and Alan Murray, "fresh" off of his Big Block N/A win after thrashing on his cutlass when the transmission spun in the tunnel and then he fragged the rear end and needed to get down at the last moment to get a pass to keep him in the lead on the last day of Race Week 2023.We talk thrashing (these two THRASH) and finishing despite the odds being stacked against you.

For Episode 13, I had the whole dang Martin/Harmon family on and it was a great show. We did learn that Lewis was undergoing cancer treatment, so we may not see him back out super soon, but he does have a sweet little g body he's been playing with. Wendy, "the general" of the 301 street cars, his wife, and both of their kids, Austin and Zane sit down and talk cars and drag and drive in this one!

Jon and Kris join me and talk all sorts of fun stuff! Jon runs Wischmann Performance and he builds some GANGSTER engines. Not to mention I let him and Kris drive and store and upgrade my 55 chevy. Well, it's not mine yet... but we're working on that.

I am super honored I got the chance to talk with Eric. Known in the world as Bigun, and for his shop customs by bigun, and more recently as a partner in Moorsville Dragway in North Carolina, this one hit different for me. Eric was somewhat of a celebrity for me, and his rusty wrapped camaro was one that I drooled over as soon as I got into Drag and Drive, and his fabrication skills and love of this stuff just oozes out of this episode.

I sit down with Nick (and MVP, and Maddie!) to talk about the s10 blazer, the stretchy truck, the dirty 30, and a ton of his street race rides and see what he's up to now, and if we'll see him on another drag and drive in the future!This one was FUN! Nick and Maddie are salt of the earth peeps, and this was a fun one to do.

This one was great. Joe Barry is a street car legend and he's right in my backyard! He stayed at his shop late and talked with me about his rise through the quickest street car ranks with his 6 second Creamsickle 56 Chevy street car! It's also all steel so you know it's good. Multi-time Hot Rod Drag Week competitor, RMRW competitor, and just nice nice dude.... Mr. Joe Barry, for President.

Vince is awesome, and used to be a dang rock star (like for real) and also can fab and weld like no other. He and his Nova have been at every Rocky Mountain Race Week/Race Week and also has been involved as a sponsor to boot. He's such a fun guy to talk to and he's full of good stories and good racing memories. He's even got his wife Heather in the car now running it on wastegate spring and footbraking into the 12.0's!!!Good times with good people.

Brad is my buddy and the best co-pilot in the game. It was fun to have him on and talk about both of our infancy into this drag and drive stuff, and moving him from copilot to driver and bringing in his own copilots now too!I love talking with guys I know well, the conversation goes so smoothly and this one is no exception.Enjoy!

Carlos is a gangster out of 301 street cars and has been to a ton of Drag and Drives in his tenure with a couple of different G body GM's. He's famously known for doing huge hero wheelies with his red malibu wagon for years at Drag Week and RMRW's as well. Unfortunately, he crashed that wagon HARD on RMRW at Great Bend, and subsequently moved to a cutlass, and out of the small block nitrous game and into n/a big block stuff!Carlos is awesome and this was a fun episode to do.
