Episode 1, "Introduction"
Hey everyone!! My name is Rob O’Hare, and I’m the founder and host of the ABA Support Podcast! I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, or “BCBA”, as well as a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of New York. “ABA” stands for “Applied Behavior Analysis”, which is fancy talk for a lot of technical, jargony methods, which end up helping out a lot of people, especially those who experience Autism Spectrum Disorder (“ASD”). Also, this podcast likely will cover applications of ABA beyond ASD, such as caregiver involvement and support and Organizational Behavior Management (“OBM”).This podcast may include material intended only for certain audiences (e.g., bullying and sexuality), so listeners should refer to the episode description before pressing “play”. Also, this podcast is not meant to diagnose or treat any specific condition, or serve as any form of treatment recommendations; that is, this podcast is for informational purposes only and any questions should be directed to the appropriate party or professional.I look forward to the wonderful and different directions this podcast will take in the coming weeks and months! Let’s get to work and happy listening!
