2026: Episode 13
In this episode of the Ambassadors Baseball podcast, we examine John 3:7–8 and the powerful truth of the new birth. Jesus makes it clear that being born again is not optional—it is necessary for salvation. He also teaches that this new life is not something we can produce ourselves, but a sovereign work of the Holy Spirit. Like the wind, the Spirit moves according to God’s will, bringing life where there was once spiritual death. This episode challenges players and parents to think beyond external religion, effort, and behavior, and to consider the deeper reality of true transformation. Salvation is not a human achievement but a divine work of grace. Our prayer is that this truth brings clarity, humility, and a deeper dependence on God as we trust Him to do what only He can do—give new life.

Biblical Distinctive #6: The Role of the FamilyIn this episode of the Ambassadors Baseball podcast, we focus on a critical biblical distinctive: the role of the family in discipleship. While Ambassadors exists to support and reinforce spiritual growth, Scripture makes it clear that the home is the primary place where discipleship happens. Drawing from Deuteronomy 6, we discuss how parents are called to intentionally teach and model God’s Word in everyday life. This episode challenges families to guard against allowing sports and busy schedules to replace what should be happening in the home. Players are encouraged to recognize and respect the role their parents have in shaping their lives, while parents are reminded that faithful, consistent presence matters more than perfection. Our goal is to strengthen families so that discipleship is not just something that happens at practice, but something that flows from the home into every area of life.

2026: Episode 11
In this episode of the Ambassadors Baseball podcast, we walk through John 3:6 and Jesus’ clear distinction between the flesh and the Spirit. This passage teaches that spiritual life cannot be produced through human effort, discipline, or outward behavior—what is born of the flesh remains flesh. True transformation only comes through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. Players and parents are challenged to think beyond surface-level change and consider the deeper question: what is producing our lives? While effort and discipline matter, they cannot create new life. Only God can take a spiritually dead heart and make it alive. This episode calls listeners to examine the difference between external improvement and internal transformation, reminding us that lasting change begins with being born again.

Biblical Distinctive #5: Identity in ChristIn this episode of the Ambassadors Baseball podcast, we address a critical issue in today’s sports culture: identity. Athletics often teaches young players that their worth is tied to performance, position, and results—but what happens when sports ends? This episode challenges both players and parents to think long-term and recognize the danger of building identity on something temporary. Drawing from Scripture, we explain that true identity is not achieved through performance but received through Christ. When identity is rooted in Him, athletes are freed to compete with confidence, humility, and stability—without fear of failure or pressure to prove themselves. Parents are encouraged to consider how their words and reactions shape identity at home. Our goal is to help young athletes build their lives on something that will last far beyond the game: identity in Christ alone.

2026: Episode 9
In this episode of the Ambassadors Baseball podcast, we walk through John 3:5 and Jesus’ teaching on the necessity of being “born of water and the Spirit.” This passage reminds us that salvation is not about external religion or behavior, but an internal transformation that only God can accomplish. We discuss how “water” points to the cleansing of sin and the “Spirit” points to new life given by God. Drawing from the broader teaching of Scripture, this episode emphasizes that we are not just in need of improvement—we are spiritually dead apart from Christ and must be made alive. Players and parents are challenged to think beyond outward performance and consider the condition of the heart. True change comes not from effort alone, but from the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. Our prayer is that this truth leads to clarity, humility, and a deeper dependence on Christ.okcambassadors.org/give

Biblical Distinctive #4: The Gospel Above PerformanceIn this episode of the Ambassadors Baseball podcast, we explore one of the most important distinctives of our ministry: the gospel above performance. In a sports culture that constantly ties identity, worth, and confidence to results, we are reminded that Scripture teaches something far deeper—our identity is not earned through performance but received through grace in Christ. Drawing from Ephesians 2, we walk through how salvation is a gift, not a result of works, and how that truth reshapes the way players compete, respond to failure, and handle success. This episode challenges both players and parents to separate effort from identity, pursue excellence without pride, and rest in the finished work of Christ. The goal is not to lower standards, but to build a foundation strong enough to sustain both success and failure.

2026: Episode 7
In this week’s Ambassadors Baseball podcast, we walk through John 3:4 and Nicodemus’ confused response to Jesus’ teaching on the new birth. Though Nicodemus was religious, respected, and knowledgeable, he could not understand spiritual truth apart from the work of God. This episode reminds players and parents that spiritual blindness is deeper than a lack of information—it is a heart issue. We talk about the difference between honest questions and prideful resistance, why people ask the wrong questions, and why new birth is something only God can accomplish. Confusion before Christ can become the path to true clarity and life.

Biblical Distinctive #2: EvangelismIn this episode of the Ambassadors Baseball podcast, we talk about the second biblical distinctive of our ministry: evangelism. Ambassadors Baseball is not just about developing athletes—it is about representing Christ and sharing the gospel in the world of athletics. Evangelism naturally flows out of discipleship. As God works in us through His Word, He also works through us to bring the message of Christ to others. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:20 that believers are “ambassadors for Christ,” meaning we represent Him and carry His message to the world. In this episode we explain the gospel using the colors of our uniform that help players and families understand and share the good news: Gold represents the holiness of God, Black represents our sin, Red represents the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, and White represents the forgiveness and new life that come through faith in Him. Our prayer is that every player learns to live and speak as a true ambassador for Christ.

"16 Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. 17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called blessed."Proverbs 3:16-18Wisdom can provide you constant refreshment and restoration. It is similar to what God provided in the Garden of Eden. There were trees that God allowed Adam and Eve to eat from. And there was a tree that the world called "wisdom." "9 Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; 10 then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine."Proverbs 3:9-10In a culture that constantly pushes us to want more, achieve more, and be more, the concept of contentment can seem almost foreign. We're bombarded with messages telling us that our worth is tied to our possessions, our status, or our accomplishments. "...bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart."Proverbs 3:3Scripture memory is very important for Christians. We are commanded God to "write Scripture on our heart." "3 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths."Proverbs 3:5-6We must trust in the Providence of God, and we can demonstrate this by aligning His desires for our life with our own. We are to "acknowledge Him" with our every thought in life. This will keep us on the straight and narrow path. You can support the OKC Ambassadors ministry by going to: okcambassadors.org/give

"3 Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man."Proverbs 3:3-4One of the greatest ways that our organization can set itself apart is that way that our parents conduct themselves during baseball games -- specifically, trusting our coaches. We want to have a good reputation in the sight of man (vs 4), and we can do this by submitting to authority according to Romans 13:1-4. The Lord will be glorified when we trust the God-ordained authority that we are to submit to for the good of our sanctification. You can support the OKC Ambassadors ministry by going to: okcambassadors.org/give

"3 Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man."Proverbs 3:3-4Just as Jesus grew in "wisdom and stature and favor with God and man," so can we. The way in which we are to do this is to "keep the commands of God" and to "not forsake His teaching." In verses 3-4, we learn to not allow mercy and faithfulness to forsake us. We receive God's mercy and faithfulness in our obedience of the heart. You can support the OKC Ambassadors ministry by going to: okcambassadors.org/give

"My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you."Proverbs 3:1-2The Evangelism of our ministry is simply an overflow of our commitment to Discipleship. If our players are not devoted to their own spiritual growth, then they will not be motivated to take the one true Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world of baseball. In all that we do in our Discipleship, one of the most important aspects is the fact that we train our players to share the Gospel. We do this through the presentation of the Gospel in Scripture by using the colors of our uniform. You can support the OKC Ambassadors ministry by going to: okcambassadors.org/give
