III (1967) by Barnett Newman Ivan the Terrible and His Son, Ivan, on November 16 1581 (painted in 1885) by Ilya Repin Bamiyan Buddha statues in Bamiyan, Afghanistan “Stendhal Syndrome (or Florence syndrome) is a psychosomatic condition involving rapid heartbeat, confusion, hallucinations, and even fainting, allegedly occurring when individuals become exposed to objects, artworks, or phenomena of great beauty.”
