Episode 5 - Audacious: Why Black People Continue to Talk About Racism
The subject of racism is triggering and uncomfortable for some white people. Many also hate the idea of Black History Month because many of the stories about the black experience are tied to the racism that’s embedded in systems that black folks didn’t create and don’t control.

Episode 4 - Audacious: The Swift Tide of Attraction Distraction
If you’ve been watching the news, you’ve probably heard a lot of noise about some popular names on t.v. and in other high places who are deeply involved in work romance. In one of the most viral, audacious and candid interviews ever shared by Shannon Sharpe on his You Tube - Club Shay Shay podcast, Katt Williams managed to drop dimes and jaws simultaneously. Currently, the YouTube episode has been viewed approximately 50 million times, and I suspect will continue to go forth and multiply. While most people only focused on the shocking truths that Katt shared and the big balls energy with which he conveyed his truths, I heard some valuable leadership qualities and lessons that every audacious leader should possess and apply. Episode 1 - Audacious: Big Balls Energy
Welcome to the debut episode of “The Audacity to Lead with Miss Handie.” I’ve been surrounded by audacious leaders all my life, many of whom have the same last name that I have. My father, grandfather, grandmother, and uncles and aunts held leadership roles in church and several of them were educators in the public school system. Audacity seems to be in my bloodline, but I didn’t grow up aspiring to lead (or so I thought). I’ve often wondered what causes some folks to lead with audacity while others choose not to lead at all. My curiosity led me to pay close attention to the qualities that real leaders possess and dig deeper into the difference between good and great leaders. Press play to hear: 1. What captivates me about leadership; 2. What audacious leadership looks, sounds and feels like; 3. Rich career advice I’ve received from a couple audacious leaders. Our journey to audacious leadership begins when we decide to lead with big balls energy! Let’s do this TOGETHER!
