The Beat Goes On

Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the No.1 birth defect worldwide. It’s a condition that arises when the structure of a baby’s heart does not develop correctly during pregnancy. In many cases, the child born with CHD will require immediate lifesaving surgery to repair, reposition or replace parts of their incomplete heart. It is an incurable, lifelong medical condition that has an immense practical, psychological and physical impact on those born with it. Our podcast discusses a range of issues facing adults with CHD with the aim of informing and educating others in the future.
