Host Andrew Owens has a question—in a time where we are so connected, how can we be so divided? That's a question with many answers, yet Andrew argues that this breakdown in communication between folks can be explained using a theory of communication known as Cultivation theory. With a personal story around Halloween and exploring how one TV show- I Love Lucy- acts as an example of Cultivation Theory in practice, the answers are starting to form ahead. The Breakdown is a capstone project published in partnership with Sinclair Community College.
