She's baaaack! Welcome to The Chatter Channel- I'm so glad you're here. Because I'm dramatic as F*CK, this first episode of this podcast's new era was recorded on the eve of my 30th birthday (not long after a major birthday-provoked crash out). In this episode, I walk you through 20 (actually 21 because I can't shut up) things I learned in my 20's as well as some of my brief thoughts on entering this new decade. I hope that this is thought-provoking and relatable for any of you in a similar place in life as me. Thanks for listening!

In this episode, Kate is celebrating exactly one year since moving from Los Angeles to Charleston! She reflects on her experience actually doing the move across the country to a place where she did not know anyone, including how she and her husband made the decision to move and why she feels it's important to take big risks that push you out of your comfort zone even when they seem scary. She also discusses some main differences between LA and Charleston, and reflects on her personal growth over the past year since moving. In this episode, Kate gets into one of her favorite conversation topics of all time- astrology!! We talk about how she got into the world of astrology and why most people get into, and often feel comforted by, astrology (hint hint: it's that lovely fear of uncertainty most of us have). She talks about some of her favorite signs, from Pisces, to Leo, to Capricorn, why Scorpio and Gemini seem to get the worst rep, and touches on compatibility between some of the signs. In this episode, Kate discusses how she and her loved ones were affected by the January 2025 Los Angeles wildfires as Pacific Palisades natives. We get into Kate's emotions and feelings of helplessness when the fires first broke out as someone living away from their hometown. Most importantly, Kate explains why the Pacific Palisades is such a uniquely special place with a tightknit community, expresses her extreme gratitude for getting to grow up there, and even takes you back to a typical weekend as a Pacific Palisades teen in the 2010's. In this episode, Kate explores the struggle of deciding where to live in your 20's and 30's. We get into the impact of the up-and-move many people experience in their friend group in their mid-20's as well as the "great scattering" that occurs in your later 20's and early 30's. We talk about the different factors that are often considered when thinking about a move, and how these factors differ depending on where you're at in your life. Lastly, we explore the experience of having a "dream place" you've always wanted to live, the fear of regret, and how to really know if moving somewhere is the "right" decision (spoiler: we don't have the answer).
