On the night of Friday, June 9th, 1995, 6-year-old Morgan Nick went with her mother to a Little League baseball game in Alma, Arkansas. As the game went on and the summer evening grew darker, Morgan asked if she could go play with some other kids near the field. Her mother agreed, watching as Morgan ran off toward the concession stand area to chase fireflies with two friends. Within minutes, her mother realized Morgan was gone. A search of the ballpark began immediately. Police were called. Officers, volunteers, and family members searched through the night. Morgan Nick was never seen again. On the evening of Friday, November 18th, 2011, 20 year old Jaleayah Davis went to hang out with friends. After spending some time at a house party, they left to go to a bar before returning to the house around 3am. Jaleayah called her sister several times asking her to come pick her up, changing the meet up location twice. The last call from Jaleayah to her sister was logged at 3:36am. The 911 call came in at 3:41am that there was a car on the side of the road and a human lying dead in the roadway. On the morning of August 15, 2002, something terrible was discovered in the quiet community of Oak Level, Virginia. Michael and Mary Short — a husband and wife devoted to their family and respected in their town — were found murdered inside their home. Their nine-year-old daughter, Jennifer, was missing. Law enforcement launched one of the most exhaustive searches and investigations in the region’s history, but what they found over the next six weeks struck the hearts of everyone who followed the case. This is the story of the Short family murders, a triple homicide that has haunted two states for more than two decades and remains unsolved.

When 21-year-old Deborah Fernandez-Cervera left her home to go for a run on April 30, 2002, she planned on returning home to watch a movie, but she didn’t know she would never return home again. Ten days later, her body would be found approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) from her home. It would take another ten years before critical evidence would be discovered and re-discovered in her case and be presented to the courts. Despite DNA evidence and substantial circumstantial evidence, her case would be closed for the second time in October of 2024, leaving Deborah’s case still unsolved. In September of 1984, two young native american girls, ages 12 and 15, accepted an offer of a ride and a meal from a 49-year-old man they had just met. That man took them to his house outside Casper, Wyoming. The 15-year-old was able to get away later that night; however, the 12-year-old has never been seen or heard from since. That 12-year-old girl, who was said to be bright, musical, talented, and who loved to breakdance, was Sharon Baldeagle from Eagle Butte, South Dakota.
