The Color of Love

Artist Marc Chagall wrote: "In our life there is a single color, as on an artist's palette which provides the meaning of life and art. It is the color of love." The Miami Radio Players is a seasoned troupe of actors. "The Color of Love" podcasts consist of radio playlets covering the spectrum of love; how hearts discover each other through the vagaries of time and circumstance. And how they sometimes part ways. After each playlet the MRP bare their souls and share their encounters with each particular...color of love.

    Welcome To Hong Kong

Hong Kong during the Vietnam War was called "a haven for tortured souls". Between 1965 and 1970, Hong Kong saw an annual influx of about 200,000 US ground and naval personnel on shore leave or "R&R". They arrived by sea and air for respite from the pressures of the grueling conflict in Vietnam. Mike, a Coast Guardsman, went for those reasons and more; to find a piece of camera equipment and...for female companionship. Her name was Suzie.

    It's Just Coffee

Written by MRP's own Julie Guy, "It's Just Coffee" investigates the line between innocent flirtation and, for want of a better word, betrayal. How does one get there? And, why? Can one be blindsided to the point of becoming emotionally and/or sexually involved with someone other than one's spouse? Well, it's a complex issue that some 20% of married couples deal with. Where does it lead with Isabella and Matt? The answer is just a listen away! And, stay tuned for a 'shocker' as the Miami Radio Players discuss the subject of love and infidelity in this episode of "The Color of Love".

    "Dear Old Friends"

Two elderly women friends meet in the idyllic setting of a town park. Before long they're at each other's throats...literally! How does this fit in with the podcast theme, "The Color of Love"? The word 'friend' is defined in some dictionaries as "a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection". So, there! Our discussion, sad to say, will focus on remembering our dear, departed Pam Salem. This was her last 'performance'. Many of you know her as 'Moneypenny' from "Never Say Never Again", as 'Rachel' on "Dr. Who", and so many more memorable roles. For Miami Radio Players Pam will be remembered for her generosity, support, life and love. "Flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest."

    "The Card"

Remember your first Valentine's Day card exchange in school? For some it was a wonderful experience. For others, not so much. Discussion with members of Miami Radio Players follows the true story of little Dave and Marcie.
