Black skin white masks pt. 1
"Frantz Fanon, the author of Black Skin, White Masks, was a revolutionary thinker, psychiatrist, and activist born in 1925 on the French Caribbean island of Martinique. His groundbreaking book, published in 1952, examines the psychological effects of colonialism on both the colonized and the colonizer. Fanon argued that colonialism not only exploits people physically but also deeply distorts their identity, leading the oppressed to internalize the values and behaviors of their oppressors. A fierce advocate for liberation, Fanon’s ideas remain essential for understanding racism, cultural alienation, and the struggle for dignity in postcolonial societies."
