Eternity
Eternity: Joan's Journey through the Yonic Model of the SelfOn today’s episode, I will be applying my Yonic Model of the Self to the character Joan from the 2025 movie Eternity, directed by David Freyne. The central plot of the movie centers on a love triangle between Joan (played by Elizabeth Olsen) and her decision of which of her two husbands she would like to spend eternity with.Choice A is Joan’s first husband, Luke (played by Callum Turner), who was her first love and died in the Korean War shortly after they were married, representing her ultimate Prince Charming archetype and therefore Joan’s Ego function.Choice B is Larry, played by Miles Teller, Joan’s second husband of 65 years, who, compared to the charms and good looks of Luke, seems like the obvious second choice. But Larry represents Joan’s dark, masculine or Daemon function, the part of her that helps her embrace her flaws and her own dark feminine aspects (Aura function). Represented by her neighbor Karen, played by Olga Merediz. So who will Joan ultimately choose in the end? Will it be Luke who reinforces her Veil function and idealized version of herself, or will she choose to spend eternity with Larry, who sees all parts of herself, the good, the bad, and who she really is?Listen to the pod now to find out!OXYour Dark Fairy GodmotherTo learn more about my Yonic Theory approach, purchase the Yonic Theory: The Foundation course through my website or explore my Yonic Journal, which serves as my sort of living “grimoire” for my research.Reference:Brooks, A. Three Wise Men and a Baby: Exploring the Light and Dark Masculine and Men's Self-Actualization Process Warning: this episode contains spoilers On this episode, to finish up our holiday-themed episodes, we end with a true Hallmark movie. Three Wise Men and a Baby. In this movie, I break down how two of the brothers (Stephan and Taylor) represent the main character Luke's light and dark masculine aspects, and how it is through learning to appreciate the value of the feminine that he is able to achieve what Carl Jung referred to as Individuation. Moreover, in this episode, I discuss how the story of baby Jesus itself can reflect the masculine process of self-actualization and the forgotten role of the feminine in this process. AI and the Myth of the Perfect Woman
AI and the Myth of the Perfect WomanIn this episode, we explore the myths of Pygmalion, Athena, and the tale of Echo and Narcissus, and how these three stories reflect the archetype of the “perfect woman” that men often attempt to create. These women are never based in reality, but rather, like Athena, they are born from the ideas of the men who created them. Thus, they represent the Goddess or the light feminine. With advancing technology, we are starting to see men attempt to bring their “dream women” into creation through creating female humanoid robots and artificial wombs. But is this a good thing, and what does it say about men in our society that they would rather have a robot dream woman than connect to their own humanity?P.S. Sorry, the echo (HAHA) on this episode is awful! I'm still working on getting my setup right lol. Likability and Jealousy
Likability and Jealousy: Two Sides of the Same CoinIn this episode, we explore how the desire to be “likable” can often lead to jealousy among women and vice versa. We discuss the concept of Conditions of Worth from Person Centered Theory and how our home environments influence our interpersonal relationships. Additionally, we will examine the generational effects of the Witch Craze on women and how likability has often been associated with survival.During the second part of this episode, we flip the script and discuss the dark side of likability, exploring how it can turn into jealousy if left unchecked. We also discuss how we can use jealousy to identify our own needs, through the process of shadow work and embracing our Witchy aspects. The 4 Queens of Sex and the City
The 4 Queens of Sex and the CitySince the show first premiered in 1998 women all across the world have resonated with each of the four main characters of Sex and the City. Are you a Charlotte? Or a Miranda? How about the fiery Samantha? Or are you Carrie, the protagonist and storyteller of the show? No matter which character you love or hate (or both), each of these women represents a different archetype of a woman and can correspond to the 4 Queens of the Minor Arcana in Tarot. In this episode, I’ll break down which on-screen Queen from Sex and the City reflects her Minor Arcana counterpart. Frenemies: Toxic Female Friendships
Frenemies: Toxic Female FriendshipsThis episode dives deep into the shadowy side of female friendships—the frenemy dynamic. Dr. Michelle Robichaux (AKA: your Dark Fairy Godmother) explores the deeper psychological and archetypal forces at play within this dynamic and by referencing pop culture movies like Mean Girls and Wicked, to break down why women are often drawn into intense, sometimes toxic, bonds… and how these connections might actually serve as mirrors of the parts of us we have not yet learned how to integrate. In This Episode We Explore:The Psychology of Frenemies - Why do we attract women who seem obsessed, competitive, or jealous of us—and vice versa? We explore how these dynamics often reflect subconscious wounds and unmet needs. The Goddess vs. The Witch Archetypes - Are you the “hot friend” or the “mom friend”? Learn how society shoves us into these limiting roles and how they create division between women instead of connection. The Karmic Pull of Opposites - Why opposites attract—especially in female friendships—and how this pull often stems from our inner desire to become whole.Pop Culture Case Studies - From Regina George and Janis Ian to Glinda and Elphaba—how films reflect the Light and Dark Feminine archetypes in conflict and how the main characters act as bridges between them.Integrating the Light & Dark Feminine Within Ourselves - Like Cady, all have a Regina and a Janis inside us. Performative Feminism
Performative Feminism: Why No One Gives a F**k about the All-Female SpaceflightIn this episode, Dr. Michelle Robichaux, (Your Dark Fairy Godmother) dives into the recent all-female Blue Origin spaceflight that took place on April 14, 2025 — and why, despite the historic nature of the event, the media coverage has felt more like a shallow PR stunt than a true feminist victory. While celebrating women in science and space is important, this particular mission reeks of performative feminism — where optics take precedence over substance. The episode unpacks how performative feminism, much like performative femininity, reinforces patriarchal values under the guise of empowerment. Instead of challenging systems of oppression, it often centers privileged women and leaves marginalized voices behind.True feminism, the kind that embraces the shadow and doesn't seek approval, goes far beyond “girl power” photo ops and billionaire-backed flights. It means advocating for women whose rights are being stripped away — those who don’t have the luxury of escaping into space. Through the lens of Dr. Robichaux’s Goddess-Witch Spectrum™, listeners are invited to question internalized misogyny, break free from the need to be likable, and step into their full, unfiltered feminine power.Ready to do the deeper work? Trad Wives & Performative Femininity
Trad Wives & Performative FemininityIn today’s episode, we explore the cultural fascination with the "Trad Wife" aesthetic and performative femininity. What draws women to embody these traits, and how does it connect to the age-old Madonna-Whore complex, or what Dr. Michelle Robichaux has coined as the Goddess-Witch Spectrum™? Your host Dr. Robichaux (AKA: your dark fairy godmother) explores the psychological implications of this phenomenon, unpacking how it can impact women’s sense of safety, stability, and self-concept throughout the course of their lives. Additionally, she discusses the generational ripple effects performative femininity can have on daughters as they inherit and internalize these societal pressures. This episode challenges traditional gender roles, questions the impact of idealized femininity, and offers a deeper look into the psychological and cultural forces at play.Resources:The Duluth Model (Power and Control Wheel)The Beauty Myth🌙 If you're interested in understanding the balance between these archetypes and how they affect our lives, don't forget to check out my Goddess-Witch Spectrum™ Course for deeper insights. The Goddess-Witch Spectrum Podcast: Episode 1Welcome, all Goddess and Witches, to the very first episode of The Goddess-Witch Spectrum™ Podcast! In this episode, your host, Dr. Michelle Robichaux, AKA your “Dark Fairy Godmother,” will unravel the origins of the Madonna-Whore complex—how it was born from Sigmund Freud and other male psychotherapists' observations of men’s sexual fantasies, which they projected onto women.
