The Day Max waited by the door

I still remember the day like it was yesterday. I had a long, exhausting day at work — traffic, deadlines, and a boss who thought “urgent” meant “right now.” By the time I reached home, I felt drained.But as soon as I opened the door, there he was — Max. My little pug, standing at the entrance, tail wagging like a tiny metronome, eyes sparkling as if I was the most important person in the world.He didn’t care if I’d had a bad day, if I was messy, or if I brought home nothing but my tired self.
