Before we recorded the first episode of The Desert Lair, I told Dillon he needed to take it easy on the f-bombs, not that he couldn't use them, just that it shouldn't be every other word. Surprisingly, he's done pretty well, I think I make more use of the f-bomb than he does. There are a few f-bombs in all the episodes, but I feel like they are sparse. In this episode though, f*** and f***ing are my favorite catch-all adjectives. We had some audio issues on this one, so the audio is somewhat uneven(more so that it already typically is). I think we've always had the issue, but since the sound didn't align correctly on this one I had to swap between the muxed output and individual mics, and do some muting. When I started editing our first show it was immediately apparent that we used an egregious amount of filler words. Halfway through(this could have been more than twice as long) I started saving the clips to edit together into one frightening crime against humanity... Aaaaaand we're off... to a rough start. This thing is hacked up. If you are at all sensitive to poor editing, being mauled by a bear might be more pleasant. Dillon and I need a lot of work, I had no idea how many filler words we use in normal conversation, ugh. If you want to hear the most filler words cut together in one short terrifying experience, check out the extras!Also, while I did manage to hit record, the camera somehow ended up out of focus, not a big deal, no one really wants to see us, and watching how chopped up we are might cause a seizure. I might need to re-think this video thing.Finally, the audio settings are the same for Dillon and I. I feel like he sounds normal, but I can't get my voice to sound right.
