On Episode 2 of The Dialog Show, we host a discussion on whether or not elementary school students should be taught about sex/gender. Our guests today are Connor (aka Counterpoints) and Aidan (aka SocDoneLeft). Connor and Aidan are prominent political streamers. You can find their work on Twitter, Youtube, and Twitch. Connor’s perspective is that kids should not be taught anything about sex/gender in elementary school.He believes that kids should be left to be kids during elementary school, and that if schools need to teach about consent/abuse, it can be done without explicitly talking about sex/gender. Aidan’s perspective is that kids should be taught about sex/gender in elementary school. Aidan’s point of view is that teaching elementary school students about sex/gender leads to better outcomes, like decreasing rates of abuse and teen pregnancy.
