The End Of The Month
by The End Of The Week
Welcome to The End Of The Month — the podcast where two friends get together once a month to look back at the last few weeks and ask the important question… what on earth has just happened? This is our monthly chance to sit down, have a proper catch-up, and talk through what’s been going on in our lives, what’s new, what’s annoyed us, what’s made us laugh, and what we’ve been watching — whether it’s genuinely brilliant, massively overrated, or something we’ve accidentally binged at 1am.There’s no script, no structure, and no real plan. Some months we’ll talk about things that actually matter, other months we’ll drift off into stories, opinions, half-remembered facts, and a lot of general chat about absolute rubbish.Fair warning — this is a very unfiltered, end-of-the-month conversation. Swearing may happen, opinions definitely will, and things can go off on tangents very quickly. Nothing is polished, nothing is rehearsed, and we make no promises about

The End Of The Week 15th May 2026
Stuart and Rachael took listeners on another nostalgic Friday afternoon packed with throwback tunes, random memories, and plenty of laughs. The show kicked off with a Grease-filled singalong before the pair debated whether Grease 2 ever stood a chance against the original and swapped stories about weddings and classic film soundtracks. The conversation bounced through Elton John, David Bowie, and the Rocketman film before Stuart revealed his very first single — Kylie Minogue’s “I Should Be So Lucky” — opening the floodgates to embarrassing first albums and questionable music choices from the past. The 90s nostalgia continued throughout the afternoon with chats about the Spice Girls possibly reuniting, Atomic Kitten’s comeback, and whether the Friends theme tune counts as a one-hit wonder. Naturally, this led to the all-important debate about how many claps are actually in the Friends intro. There was also complete radio chaos thanks to Adam Lambert’s unexpected version of The Muffin Man, proving once again that absolutely anything can happen on The End of the Week.A special guest appearance came from Jenna from the Totally 90’s Festival, chatting about all things throwback music and festival fun, happening this June at Willen LakeAs always, Stuart and Rachael mixed feel-good music with random observations, from changing music trends and shocking weather to songs that definitely “aren’t lyrically challenging.” The show wrapped up with thanks to their guest, reminders about the podcast and Spotify playlist, and promises to do it all again next Friday.Find out more about the Totally 90’s Festival here - https://www.sixstarevents.comListen back to the full radio show including the feel good tunes here - https://www.mixcloud.com/stonyradiouk/playlists/end-of-the-week-show/Listen to all the songs from EVERY show on our Spotify playlist here - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6KgE6ony2pk3THxguGVArz?si=cf3ceaf7b1e9462dFacebook - www.facebook.com/stuartandrachaelInstagram - www.instagram.com/stuartandrachaelWebsite - theendof.co.ukHosted on Acast. The End Of The Week 8th May 2026
This week on The End of the Week with Stuart & Rachael on Stony Radio, the Friday feeling was in full swing as the pair chatted everything from Princess Anne visiting Milton Keynes to the newly revamped Calcutta restaurant complete with its new live music stage and chophouse vibes. The Bank Holiday weekend provided plenty of stories too — from football refereeing, disco bingo chaos, and a new 5K personal best, to burgers and bottle stalls at Whaddon’s May Fayre. There was also excitement building for The Greatest Showman musical night and another long weekend just around the corner. The show took a nostalgic turn as Stuart & Rachael revisited childhood cartoon classics including Danger Mouse, Superted, Inspector Gadget, Raggy Dolls, and Fireman Sam, sparking listeners’ memories of Saturday morning TV favourites. There was also plenty of movie chat, covering everything from Mrs Doubtfire and Mamma Mia to What Women Want and Two Pints of Lager.Listeners got involved with birthday shoutouts, celebrity age guessing games, misheard lyrics, and discussions about what “Livin’ La Vida Loca” actually means — finally settling on Ricky Martin simply singing about “living a crazy life.”The duo also marked the 81st anniversary of VE Day with a nod back to 1945, asking listeners how they were commemorating the occasion while reflecting on the music and memories of the era.As always, the show wrapped up with plenty of laughs, random facts, local event mentions including York House’s Eaty Streety MK Makers Market, and the kind of wonderfully chaotic Friday afternoon conversation listeners have come to expect before heading into the weekend.Listen back to the full radio show including the feel good tunes here - https://www.mixcloud.com/stonyradiouk/playlists/end-of-the-week-show/Listen to all the songs from EVERYTHING show on Spotify here - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6KgE6ony2pk3THxguGVArz?si=cf3ceaf7b1e9462dFacebook - www.facebook.com/stuartandrachaelInstagram - www.instagram.com/stuartandrachaelWebsite - theendof.co.ukHosted on Acast. February 2026 | End of the month
February might be the shortest month of the year, but somehow it still managed to feel like an endurance event — and in this episode, Stuart and Rachael unpack all of it with their trademark mix of sarcasm, chaos, and completely unqualified opinions. From cars dramatically giving up on life and questionable quiz-night performances, to Valentine’s Day panic buying, half-term survival tactics, and the great Pancake Day debates (lemon & sugar forever), this is a proper catch-up episode packed with relatable nonsense and a few genuine highlights. The duo also dive into friendship origin stories, nights out that probably shouldn’t be discussed publicly, parenting realities, and why February feels like being stuck in a group chat you can’t mute. Expect local nods to Olney traditions, muddy sidelines, and the kind of everyday chaos that makes you question whether going back to work is actually a holiday.Plus:🏆 The launch of All About: The Podcast🚙 A car breakdown🐈 Next doors cat😂 The month’s funniest moments🔮 What’s coming up in March📺 What Stuart’s been binge-watching and listening to📱 Internet nonsense, viral clips, and the Spud Man phenomenonHonest, funny, slightly inappropriate in places, and very much like eavesdropping on two friends in a pub — this episode is perfect if your February was equal parts exhausting, ridiculous, and weirdly memorable.👉 Pour yourself something strong, press play, and feel better about your own life choices.Episode LinksThe Rock FM TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@therockfm/video/7421655988635274514?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=7603324776774780438Rachael's Village Event - https://www.facebook.com/share/14XbrkvRtFi/?mibextid=wwXIfr Join us on Instagram for photos from each episode www.instagram.com/endofthemonthpodHosted on Acast.
