Mike served 24 years in the United States Army and completed four tours abroad. A hit and run accident during his time as a Station Commander in Nashville led to the loss of his dominant arm.He made the choice to stay on active duty and pushed through a tough rehabilitation program. His drive and discipline helped him pass physical agility and marksmanship tests, which led to his reinstatement. He became the first above elbow amputee to return to active duty.
