Sober AF: What It Really Means to Live Fully Alive

One year ago this week, I stopped using cannabis—after more than twenty years of pretty much daily use. Combined with my two-plus years alcohol free, I can now say what I never expected to say: I'm fully, completely, Sober AF.In this episode, I'm sharing the honest, nuanced story of this journey—including the role cannabis played as a genuine bridge in my early sobriety, what finally shifted a year ago, and what I actually believe is happening energetically when sensitive, deeply feeling people turn to substances to cope.Because I think there's a Human Design thread running through all of it that nobody is talking about. As a Projector with a lot of open centers, I spent decades using substances as an energetic pressure valve—a way to manage the overwhelm of absorbing everyone else's energy. This isn't a story about willpower. It's a story about healing so deeply that the coping mechanisms naturally fell away.We also go into: what fully sober actually feels like (spoiler: it's really good), how sobriety clarified my Splenic Authority, and a reflection question to sit with about what you might be using to numb your own life—and what might be waiting for you on the other side.In this episode, we talk about: Why cannabis was genuine medicine in the early alcohol-free chapterWhat shifted after 20+ years of daily use—and why it wasn't forcedThe Projector energetics of numbing and open centersWhat gets clearer when you stop turning down the volume on your lifeA reflection question for examining your own numbing patternsBecause you deserve to live as the fullest version of you!Get your free Human Design Chart and begin learning your unique design.Book a Your Design Unlocked Human Design Reading to understand how to work with your energy instead of agains it.Explore 1:1 Coaching options to dive deeper into your purpose and get customized support in your transformation. Sign up for my newsletter and receive Witchy Wisdom in your inbox every Wednesday. Come and find me on Instagram @fulfilledaf. The Morning Routine: Thank You, Past Me

What if the first feeling of your morning was gratitude—for yourself? In this episode of The Fulfilled AF Podcast—the final part of our three-episode routines mini series—we're talking about the morning routine and the idea that has tied this whole series together: when you do the work the night before, you get to wake up and say thank you, past me. I share what my actual morning rhythm looks like as we return to our school-year routine after spring break—waking without an alarm, coffee with gratitude stirred in, a 10-minute meditation, checking my horoscope and cycle, protecting the social media window, getting my kids out the door without rushing, and carving out the post-drop-off practices that are just for me: getting ready without rushing, journaling, a walk, and starting work around 9am from a genuinely nourished place. In this episode, we talk about: Why the morning routine is downstream of the evening routine—and how to receive the gift your past self left The power of gratitude as the first act of the day—especially for moms Why 6:30 without an alarm beats 5am with one—and how to find your actual wake-up time Coffee with gratitude stirred in: how to turn the first cup into a small ceremonyThe apps I use every morning: Wild Minds Manifest, Chani, and Stardust Why I protect the first 2–3 hours from email and social media—and what I do instead Getting kids out the door calmly—and what the post-drop-off window makes possible This is part three of a three-episode series. The Evening Routine: Doing Something For Your Future Self

What if your morning routine actually starts the night before? In this episode of The Fulfilled AF Podcast—part two of our routines mini series—we're talking about the evening routine and the philosophy that changed everything: doing something for your future self. I get honest about how my relationship with alcohol once hijacked my evenings—and how sobriety gave me my nights back. I walk through the pillars of my evening rhythm: putting the kitchen to bed, resetting the common areas, packing the kids' bags, doing skincare early, and protecting the reading and rest time that makes my Projector self actually function. In this episode, we talk about: Why your evening routine is the real foundation of your morning The philosophy of "doing something for your future self"—and what it looks like in practice How sobriety completely transformed my evenings and what I gained on the other side"Putting the kitchen to bed"—why an empty sink and clear counters change your whole morning Skincare, reading, and honoring your rest as a Projector (and a human) Where to start if you have no evening routine right now—the one thing that changes everything This is part two of a three-episode series on routines. What if your energy wasn’t inconsistent…but cyclical by design? In this episode of The Fulfilled AF Podcast, we explore the power of cycle syncing and how honoring your body’s natural rhythms can completely change the way you work, create, rest, and live.Instead of expecting yourself to show up with the same energy every single day, this conversation invites you to see your menstrual cycle (or the moon, if you don’t have one) as an inner set of seasons—each with its own strengths, needs, and purpose. We talk about why so many women feel burnt out trying to live in a linear, productivity-obsessed world, and how reconnecting with your cyclical nature creates more sustainability, self-trust, and nervous system safety. This episode is an invitation to soften your expectations, listen to your body, and remember that there is a right time for everything. In this episode, you’ll hear about:• Why women are designed to operate in cycles, not constant output• The four inner seasons of the menstrual cycle and what each phase supports• How your energy, creativity, and social capacity naturally shift across the month• The emotional wisdom that can surface in the luteal phase• Working with the moon as a rhythm if you don’t have a menstrual cycle• How cycle syncing reduces burnout and increases alignmentIf you’re tired of pushing through, wondering why your energy fluctuates, or craving a more compassionate and sustainable way of living, this episode will help you feel seen and supported.Download your free Cosmic Calendar to start tracking moon phases, seasonal shifts, and the energetic rhythms that can help you plan your life in greater flow.Get your personalized Human Design Blueprint Report to better understand your unique energy patterns and how to work with them instead of against them.Come and find me on Instagram @fulfilledaf. Living in Rhythm: Astrology as a Timing Tool

What if alignment isn’t about pushing harder or figuring out the “right” next move—but about understanding the season you’re actually in?In this episode of The Fulfilled AF Podcast, we explore astrology as a living, breathing timing tool—not something predictive or rigid, but a way of understanding rhythm, seasons, and collective energy. Alcohol-Free & Fully You

What if letting go of alcohol wasn’t about restriction or deprivation—but about coming home to your true energy, clarity, and rhythm? In this episode of The Fulfilled AF Podcast, we explore sober curiosity and what it really means to reevaluate your relationship with alcohol through an embodied, compassionate lens. This isn’t a conversation about rules or labels—it’s an invitation to listen to your body, honor your energy, and create rituals that nourish rather than numb.I share my personal journey from gray-area drinking to an alcohol-free life rooted in clarity, presence, and self-trust. I also open up about how alcohol became a normalized way to unwind, how it quietly disconnected me from my intuition, and what changed when I chose restoration over escape.Together, we unpack how alcohol can act as a false form of rest—especially for sensitive, intuitive women—and how removing it can help you reconnect with your natural rhythm, nervous system needs, and inner guidance. This episode is an invitation to soften your relationship with rest, pleasure, and self-care—and to discover what truly recharges you when you stop numbing your energy. In this episode, you’ll hear about:• The difference between unwinding and numbing • Why sobriety doesn’t dull your sparkle—it amplifies it • The emotional and energetic cost of “normal” drinking culture • Moving from moderation to clarity without shame or force • Creating nourishing evening rituals that support your nervous system • How each Human Design type can reconnect to real rest—without alcoholIf you’re feeling curious about Dry January, questioning long-held habits, or craving deeper alignment with your energy and intuition, this episode will meet you exactly where you are.Book a 20-minute recorded Human Design mini-reading to help you step into 2026 grounded, aligned, and in flow.Download your free 2026 Cosmic Calendar and begin living in rhythm with the moon, the seasons, and the larger energetic patterns at play.Come and find me on Instagram @fulfilledaf. Clearing Space: Making Room for a More Aligned Year

What if the beginning of a new year wasn’t about adding more—more goals, more habits, more pressure—but about gently releasing what no longer belongs? In this episode of The Fulfilled AF Podcast, we explore the power of clearing space as a foundation for alignment. Instead of pushing forward with force or rigid resolutions, this conversation invites you to work with winter’s natural rhythm—slowing down, reflecting, and making room for what’s truly meant to come next.We talk about clearing your field in all forms: your physical space, your emotional landscape, your habits, and your energetic body. Because when your environment is cluttered—inside or out—it becomes harder to hear your intuition and call in new, aligned energy. This episode is an invitation to soften into the beginning of the year, tend to your nervous system, and trust that releasing the old creates space for something more nourishing to emerge. In this episode, you’ll hear about:• Why clearing space is a powerful form of modern-day alchemy• Honoring winter as a season of rest, reflection, and preparation• The emotional and energetic impact of physical clutter• Releasing habits, beliefs, and patterns that no longer serve you• Using Human Design to identify where your energy may feel stuck• Simple practices for clearing your space, body, and energetic fieldIf you’re craving a slower, more embodied start to the year—and a way to create alignment without force—this episode will meet you where you are.Book a 20-minute recorded Human Design mini-reading to help you step into 2026 grounded, aligned, and in flow.Download your free 2026 Cosmic Calendar and begin living in rhythm with the moon, the seasons, and the larger energetic patterns at play.Come and find me on Instagram @fulfilledaf.
