This week, we are ending our first season of The Funny Thing About Therapy with a fascinating, informative, and hilarious conversation about Psychedelic Assisted Therapy. Rebecca is joined by psychedelic therapists - the most frequent guest on the podcast, Vitoria Cottiss, Associate MFT, and first time guest Melissa Haigh, LMFT. They talk about going on psychedelic "journeys" with their clients, the goofy things that happen on those journeys, how capitalism is affecting the field, and how working with psychedelics has changed their therapeutic work and changed them as a human. This week, Rebecca is joined by very good friends and fellow therapists Ali Eagle, Associate MFT and Gabe Gilbert-Lurie, Associate MFT. At the time of this recording, Ali and Gabe worked at the same dual diagnosis treatment center together so Rebecca invited them on the pod to discuss their experience working in treatment.
