The Get Together

We start this episode talking about a recent visit Shaun and I made to one of favorite watering holes. That delves into a discussion about cigarettes and the smell of cigarettes. That takes us on a bit of a nostalgia walk. Shaun and Mike both visit an Italian market and we break that down. Shaun takes a trip out to the woods for a maple festival. Mike makes a trip back to Ohio and Pittsburgh to visit Jim and go to some hockey games. Mike acquires a bobblehead thanks to Jim. An old friend visits us. Mike drinks too much and has an incident when we get back to Jim's house. We have an encounter at the second game. This may have very easily been the most annoying spectator Mike has ever witnessed at a hockey game. We go to play mini golf after the game and realize that we have acquired a stalker. A stalker that ends up hustling us at mini-golf. With very little shock, Jim forgets his keys.

We kick off this episode with Mike telling a couple of tales about being scammed recently. Jim joins us midway through that discussion. Shaun and Mike head to a concert and once again nearly dress alike. Liz tells us about an issue with a pizza. We finish off the episode with some Would You Rather scenarios.

We kick off our latest episode recounting the success that the United States had in hockey during the Olympics. We discuss what could long term effects of the success. We do some clean up around Mom and Dad's storage unit which yields some odd sound effects. Liz presents us with a Would you Rather scenario. Shaun tries to find a workaround.

We come back from an unintended break of the podcast and review some things that have gone on since our last episode. Mike and Shaun take a couple trips to Buffalo. Jim joins us for a long weekend which includes a trip to a tiki bar. A "Situation" develops which includes a bottle of sparkling water. We conclude the episode with a talk about the Winter Olympics.

Liz, Shaun, and Mike return after the holidays with a new episode. It has been a bit since we recorded and we go back to discuss what has been going on since the last episode. Shaun and Mike recount advent calendar failures. Mike pays a visit to our friend Jim. We enjoy a lot of cheese and celebrate New Years with yet another failed balloon drop. We cap it off discussing resolutions.

We're in the middle of the holidays and we kick of this episode discussing Mike and Shaun's Black Friday Adventures. We then transition into talking abpout decorating Christmas trees. Mike and Shaun touch on a trip to Erie, PA. We discuss advent calendars that we are doing leading up to Christmas. Liz discusses a Christmas movie watch that she is doing. Mike closes the episode out with some Christmas trivia.

We discuss Shaun's recent trip to Florida. He goes to the all new Epic Universe and also experiences Halloween Horror Nights. Shaun gets a warning about his water bottle. Mike and our friend Matt go on a day trip and encounter a smell. Mike feels targeted by an ad and forgets his keys.

To kick this episode off, Mike has an update from the barbershop. Liz has an update about the kittens. She discovered that was a platform for a late night rendezvous. We discuss going to a local apple festival. It was unseasonably hot at it. It was so hot, we stopped for ice cream afterwards. Shaun brings up the concept of laugh tracks on tv shows to close the episode.

The crew kicks off the fall season discussing trips to the grocery store. We get into a discussion about being creeped out by scary movies. Shaun gives us a preview of an upcoming trip to Florida. Mike has an upcoming appointment that might become a followup to a previous appointment. We then discuss preliminary plans for a trip we are taking. We close with an update on the kittens.

Shaun, Liz, and Mike are back and are celebrating the 1 year anniversary of the podcast. We discuss Liz and Mike adopting some new family members and coming up with names for the new family members. Shaun and Mike take a road trip to Saratoga for a concert and then Shaun encounters an unruly person at a comedy show. Liz and Mike then recount some details of their trip to Salem, MA and to Maine. There's a trip to a museum, a first time occurrence at a hotel, and a slight car issue along the way. Finally we finish up the episode reading some poetry.

In this episode full of adventures, Shaun starts it out by telling us about a dream he had and how he may actually have a different name. We then travel to Pennsylvania where we meet up with friends, enjoy a Smorgasbord, and visit a tattoo parlor. MIke gets a haircut and introduces everyone to Nico the Barber. Shaun and Mike then head out on a camping trip which ends rather abruptly for Shaun after he has an accident.

Mike, Liz, and Shaun conclude their series about their trip to Alaska. We recount our adventures in Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay National Park, Hoonah, and Anchorage. We go whale watching and visit glaciers. Mike books a tour that has a coincidental trip to a brewery. We see a ton of animals along the way. Shaun and Mike experience some next level nachos. The trip concludes with some interesting airplane and airport experiences.

Mike, Liz, and Shaun return to discuss their cruise vacation. We make our way from our Airbnb to the cruise port and embark the ship. We have some trials and tribulations along the way but we ultimately sail away from Vancouver and head to Alaska. We sing it if we know it and discover the drink of the cruise. Liz scores a ride and we have an awesome French dinner. We then make our way to Ketchikan and discover what happens when you lick a banana slug.

We kick off the episode with Shaun and Mike discussing some recent adventures that they had in Syracuse during a concert weekend. Then we pick up where left off on our trip to Vancouver and Alaska. We talk about going to Granville Island and the immersive experience of going to the Richmond Night Market. We wonder if Rob knows what cumin is. Mike, Shaun, and some of our group visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Mike has a moment with Shaun on the bridge. AFter the bridge we take a historical tour of Gastown. We close this one out giving some over all impressions of Vancouver.

We are back from our trip to Alaska. We start with some initial impressions of the trip overall. We then kick into our first couple days of the trip. Listen as we attempt to fly from Rochester to Vancouver. We end up with an all expenses paid trip to Chicago instead. We encounter Gordon Gecko and Charm School James along the way. Eventually we make our way to Vancouver via Los Angeles. Fried chicken is enjoyed while we await an Instacart order. Stay tuned as we continue to chronicle our epic adventure.

We kick off the episode discussing some preparations for an upcoming trip. Everyone gets their hair did and then we discuss the prospect of a brother's spa day. Mike brings up a way that he is planning to document their travels.We also go into some of the places we will be visiting and give a rough idea of some things we will be doing. Finally we close this episode out with a discussion of weird food combos.

We receive an email that signals a change to our podcasting world. We got through it though and tell all about it. Mike then talks about a stomach issue. We then talk about us attempting to exercise ahead of our big trip. This results in a trip to urgent care and explaining to Shaun that we bought a massage gun. Finally Liz asks us a question about 1990's television.

We kick this episode off discussing clean up efforts we are making around the house. We discover (or in Liz's case rediscover) a musical artist that has sold several million copies of his albums. Liz then recounts another artist she heard in her youth. Mike discovers something stuck in the garage door. Mike tells a story about getting some great customer service. We then discuss another commercial. Liz closes us out with another good customer service story.

After taking off the month of February, we are back with another episode. The break wasn't by choice, but we get into why we hadn't recorded and what we have been up to. Liz then presents a commercial for us to check out and discuss. MIke introduces Liz and Shaun to a couple of books that he found while cleaning around the house. Liz closes the episode out by asking us some thought provoking questions.

We're a month into the year and we kick this episode off with a resolution of sorts. Liz talks about a blanket she got for her birthday. Shaun introduces Liz and Mike to a music game. Mike is not a fan of the Duchess of York. Mike shares some quite interesting facts which causes us to go into chicken wing talk. Mike then recounts a story from a Buffalo Sabres game we all went to.

We review our fun games and adventures from Christmas. We discuss the fun of opening up undeliverable mail from a mystery box. We then delve into a controversy about hoodies. Christmas is then interupted by a power outage. Weird occurences ensue. Shaun and Mike receive a surprise from a friend. We then stress the importance of supporting local businesses and suggest it as a New Years resolution.

Liz, Shaun, and Mike return during the height of the Christmas season and talk about Christnas songs. Liz and Mike take in a performance of Emmet Otter. Mike gives an update on his knee. Then we get into Shaun's trip to Florida and his flying experiences.

Mike visits an old podcast friend, Jim, and takes the opportunity to record an episode with him. They take a trip back a few months and discuss the wedding of Jim's daughter, Victoria. A trip to visit Jim would not be complete with some driving stories. The guys also watched Cobra Kai and visited the local beer store during Mike's vsit. We also discuss the adventures of going to a couple of hockey games where Jim makes a new friend, Nate the dancing guy.

Mike starts out the episode updating folks about his MRI.We then briefly touch on the recent election and its impact. We also talk about an art show that we went to. Liz discusses crafting. We go through another round of Loaded Questions.Shaun and Liz start to question the validity of the Loaded Questions game. Liz brings up a questionable commercial to close the show.

We kick off the episode discussing the concept of Mike being more like our friend Jim. Mike goes for an MRI and he tells Liz and Shaun about the expeience. We also discuss trying to decipher the results. We are introduced to a new segment called Loaded Questions. We then conclude our Halloween candy tournament bracket.

Liz, Shaun, and Mike recount a party that Shaun hosted at his house. Mike makes a mistake while headed to the party.Shaun mentions the latest movie he watched. Liz posits a question about a shopping spree. We continue on with our Halloween Candy tournament bracket as we enter into the Sweet Sixteen and determine our Elite Eight.

We kick off the episode discussing Shaun's October horror movie watch. We all got together to watch Psycho. We give our impressions of that movie and what else Shaun might watch. Mike and Shaun visit a local town's annual fall harvest festival. We continue on with our Halloween candy tournament bracket and our round of 32. During this we discover that an alliance has been formed, called the Candy Corn Crew. We close out the episode by looking at a catalog that takes us all back to our childhood's.

We kick off the episode discussing a class reunion that Mike and Liz attended. Mike determines that he would likely be the worse at a game of figuring out who people are that he hasn't seen in 30 years. Shaun discusses Halloween decor that he has at his house. We then find out that Liz was kicked out of the Dollar Store. Shaun visits some friends out of town and finds some weird items along the sidewalk and has trouble sitting. We then kick off our Halloween Candy and Treats Tournament bracket. We close out the episode talking about the things that were passed out that a lot of people would be disappointed in.

Liz, Shaun, and Mike kick off their all new podcast. They discuss a mission statement for the podcast. We then discuss a recent camping trip that we went on. We get a brief review of a recent concert headlined by Hootie and the Blowfish. Shaun recounts his trip to Hershey to see Green Day. We briefly discuss our Halloween treat tournament bracket.
