Dr Nae, the Ex Mrs Wolf of Wall Street
The Wolf of Wallstreet was a blockbuster film staring Leonardo DiCaprio and directed by Martin Scorsese. It told the real life story of Jordan Belfort, stockbroker, business man and eventually financial criminal. A relatively unknown, Margot Robbie portrayed Jordan's wife Nadine. Today, Dr. Nadine Macaluso, or Dr Nae, is an accomplished PHD and the author of the book Run like Hell, a Therapists Guide to Recognizing, Escaping and Healing from Trauma Bonds. On this episode, Dr Nae tells me what it was really like being married to the Wolf and how she turned her traumatic experiences into a career of helping others. Our discussion touches on narcissists, pathological lovers and trauma bonds (all covered in depth in her book) as well as, the real life examples we are seeing play out in the media today like Harvey Weinstein, Jeffery Epstein and Diddy.
