Through discussing a counter-history of international war-crime trials, the origin of the concepts of ‘crimes against humanity’ and ‘genocide’ and how discussion of these ideas point to the need to rethink the history of international law, the episode hopes to shed light on the future development of both international human rights law and international criminal law.
