Share | Follow | Subscribe 15 sportsmen and women were inducted into a Ghana sports Hall of Fame in 2004 by the then Sports minister Kwadwo Baah Wiredu. 14 of the 15 were names many people expected to see on the list. The 15th name however shocked many - Capt Andy Sam (rtd).  What many did not know was that Andy Sam was a very good hockey player and cricketer in his day. Ghana finished with 5 gold medals - one of those medals came from the 4x100m relay race. Hearts had won the league and in fact dominated for 9 years. Kotoko in dire need of a lift turned to Taylor and he gave them a nod.  The transfer did not go down well with Hearts and it became a huge tussle between the two clubs.
