The Hollywood Hack

In this three-part narrative podcast, writer Brian Raftery investigates the biggest Hollywood heist of all time: The Sony Pictures Hack. In the fall of 2014, a mysterious online group infiltrated and sabotaged Sony Pictures, releasing nearly 200,000 stolen emails and internal documents and, later, threatening to blow up theaters showing The Interview - a Sony comedy about an assassination attempt on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The incident would entangle the White House, the FBI, and multiple superpowers; scandalize some of the biggest names in showbiz; and force Hollywood to undergo one of the most painful cultural, creative, and technological transformations in its century-long history.
