You Can’t Hide What you Practice
Ep 45: I was standing there… just looking down. Not at anything profound. Just asphalt. Black, uneven, broken… and then this liquid spread across it, separate but connected. One part solid. One part spilling. One part holding shape. The other refusing to. And for some reason… I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Because it felt familiar. This episode is about that tension. The version of you that looks like it’s coming together… and the part of you that quietly exposes what you’re actually practicing. I get into something very real for me right now… my inconsistent relationship with the gym, and how my body is telling the truth I was trying to soften. Not in a harsh way. In an honest one. We talk about what it really means when people say what you do in private shows in public… and why that’s not just about secrets being exposed, but about repetition becoming reality. This isn’t one of those episodes where everything gets tied up neatly. It’s more like sitting with yourself long enough to notice the gap between what you say you want… and what you’re actually repeating. Because at some point, life stops listening to your intentions. And starts responding to your patterns.

Obituary
In this episode, I sit with something that honestly unsettled me. The idea that one day, you’ll unknowingly take the photo that ends up representing your entire life. That alone made me pause… but what stayed with me even more is realizing that death isn’t just something waiting at the end. It’s something we experience in pieces. I talk about the different versions of ourselves that quietly end over time. The people we outgrow, the identities we shed, the dreams that don’t follow us into who we become. And I also get into why I don’t necessarily fear physical death, but I do think there’s something deeper we should be paying attention to while we’re still here. This episode isn’t about dying. It’s about what’s already ended… and what you’re still holding onto.

When Mirrors Lie
For Episode 43, I’m talking about mirrors, not just the ones made of glass, but the ones we use every day to understand who we are. Other people’s opinions. Social media. Family. Desire. Shame. Memory. Performance. All the reflections that can slowly shape us until we forget the difference between who we are and who we learned to be. In this episode, I explore the illusion of the self and what happens when identity gets built through outside eyes instead of inner truth. I talk about performance, perfection, fractured identity, the roles we inherit, and the quiet violence of trying to become legible in mirrors that were never built to reflect us honestly. This is a deep conversation about selfhood, adaptation, survival, and what it really means to return to yourself when the noise gets too loud. If you have ever felt disconnected from who you are, trapped in an image, or exhausted by the pressure to be seen a certain way, this episode is for you. Episode 43: When Mirrors Lie A confrontation with the false self, the performed self, and the deeper self waiting underneath it all.

Before You Call It Love
Most people don’t fall in love. They fall into something they never tested. In Episode 42, I break down the eight dates you should have before you call anything a relationship. Not cute dates. Not aesthetic moments. Real environments that reveal who someone actually is. From unplanned nights to uncomfortable conversations, from how they handle pressure to how they move when things don’t go their way, this episode is about seeing clearly before you commit blindly. Because feelings can start a relationship. But only truth can sustain one.

Audacity
In this episode, I take you inside my latest book, Audacity. This is not just a conversation about what I wrote. It is a breakdown of the journey that created it. I walk you through all twelve states of becoming that shape the book, from The Truth-Teller to The Vision-Bearer, and how each chapter reflects a different phase of self-confrontation, growth, and transformation. I also share how these chapters loosely align with the emotional and psychological rhythm of the year, mirroring the seasons we all move through internally. Audacity is not a traditional book. It is interactive. It asks something of you. It challenges you to tell the truth, set boundaries, release what was never yours, and consciously build who you are becoming. In this episode, I break down what each state means, why it matters, and how it shows up in real life. I also speak about the deeper intention behind the book, which is not just to inspire you, but to confront you. Because becoming yourself is not a soft process. It is a bold one. If you have ever felt like you were outgrowing your life, questioning your identity, or ready to step into something more honest, this episode is for you. And if you are ready to go deeper, Audacity is waiting for you.

Reason, Season and Lifetimes
In this episode of The Hood Debutante, I dive into one of the most important frameworks for understanding the people who move through your life: Reason, Seasons & Lifetimes. We’ve all had relationships that changed us, challenged us, carried us, or quietly drifted away. And yet, we rarely stop to ask why they entered our lives in the first place — or what their true purpose was. In this two-hour deep dive, I break down the three types of connections every human experiences, how to identify each one, and how to navigate the emotional terrain of beginnings, transitions, and endings. No personal stories — just universal truth, clarity, and the kind of grown conversation that helps you see your relationships with brand-new eyes. We’ll explore: ✨ Reason People: Those who show up as lessons, mirrors, catalysts, and wake up calls ✨ Season People: The chapter shapers who align deeply but not permanently ✨ Lifetime People: The rare souls who evolve with you, expand with you, and grow beside you ✨ The shadow side of connection why some people can’t grow with you ✨ How to let go without losing yourself ✨ How to choose relationships that match the person you’re becoming At its core, this episode is a reminder that every connection has a purpose, and peace comes from releasing people from roles they were never meant to play. Some people are chapters. Some are footnotes. A blessed few are the book. Press play and let’s talk about it.

The Language of Feeling
EP 39: In this episode, I wanted to do something different not to fix emotions, but to understand them. We live in a world that teaches us to suppress what we feel, to hide behind calmness and call it control. But our emotions aren’t flaws they’re fluent, ancient languages trying to be heard. The Language of Feeling is my translation of that inner dialogue nine emotional truths that live beneath the surface of who we are: Bitterness, Resentment, Discomfort, Anger, Disappointment, Guilt, Shame, Anxiety, and Sadness. Each one carries its own wisdom if you’re quiet enough to listen. This episode isn’t about perfection or performance it’s about presence. It’s about learning to sit with yourself and ask, “What is this emotion trying to tell me?” Because peace doesn’t come from silence; it comes from understanding. By the end of this conversation, I hope you see that your emotions were never the problem misinterpretation was. Every feeling you’ve ever had was a message from your soul, written in the language of being human.

The Angel Who Stopped Praying
A Black angel kneeling beside his reflection, staring down into red light while the air around him stays black and still. Every time I look at it, I feel something ancient move in me. The image doesn’t look like faith. It looks like awareness the kind that burns and heals at the same time. This episode is me sitting with that feeling asking what happens when light meets its own shadow. When goodness begins to question itself. When purity turns out to have edges. I talk about the myth of moral perfection, the violence of pretending to be pure, and the beauty that comes from finally seeing yourself whole flawed, sacred, and real. Because I’ve learned that light isn’t innocent. It creates darkness just by existing. And maybe that’s what makes it divine. “Maybe the devil was never evil maybe he was just the first to question authority. And maybe the angel who stares too long into the water doesn’t fall he finally sees the whole of himself.”

Why Bad Things Happen
In episode 37 of The Hood Debutante, I sit down with one of life’s hardest questions: why do bad things happen? I’m not handing out clichés or easy answers. Instead, I walk through the layers nature’s indifference, the choices humans make, the pain that sometimes teaches, the way perception reshapes our stories, and the mystery that refuses explanation. I talk about how light can exist without darkness, how shadows are born when something interrupts the light, and how the universe itself doesn’t know right from wrong only we do. This isn’t a conversation about romanticizing pain it’s about holding truth, refusing cheap comforts, and learning how to carry our light even when the shadow falls across our path. Episode 37: Why Bad Things Happen. Press play, and let’s wrestle with it together.

BLACK AMERICAN CULTURE
Episode 36: Black American Culture In this episode, I confront a claim I hear far too often—that African Americans “have no culture.” I take two full hours to break that lie apart and show the undeniable truth: our culture is everywhere, and it’s one of the most powerful forces in the world. I walk through the values that ground us resilience, faith, respect for elders, collective uplift, justice. I break down the taboos that keep us whole like never disrespecting elders, never betraying your people, never letting the culture die. And I celebrate the traditions that make us who we are our music from jazz to hip hop, our dances from the Electric Slide to the Running Man, our soul food tables stacked with mac & cheese, collard greens, and barbecue, our HBCUs, our games, our faith. This episode isn’t just a rebuttal to ignorance it’s a love letter to a culture forged in fire. I want you to hear the stories, feel the pride, and remember that Black American culture isn’t missing it’s so loud, so global, and so influential that the world consumes it daily.

God Everywhere
Episode 35: God Everywhere ✨ In this episode, I takes you on a journey into the oldest and deepest question of all: Why is there something instead of nothing? But instead of chasing abstract answers, this conversation opens your eyes to a truth that has been hiding in plain sight God is not distant, not unreachable, not locked away in books or temples. God is in everything. From the elements of earth, air, fire, and water, to the tiny persistence of an ant or the quiet beauty of a ladybug’s wings… from the stillness of silence to the rhythm of your own breath, traces of the Infinite live all around you. And not just around you inside you. But why is it so hard for us to grasp God? Using the example of the tesseract a shape from the fourth dimension I shows how our minds, bound in the third dimension, struggle to understand what is beyond us. We catch glimpses, shadows, hints of the Infinite, but never the whole. And that mystery is not failure its design. Episode 35 is not about rules or doctrines. It’s about learning to see God in the mirror, in the sky, in the silence between your thoughts. It’s about recognizing that what you seek has been seeking you all along.

My First Love
Episode 34: My First Love In this episode, I open up about something unexpected that happened during Pride weekend I ran into my very first love, the man I haven’t seen in more than 20 years. He was my first boyfriend, my first taste of what it meant to love and be loved by another Black man, and he helped shape the way I understood relationships moving forward. I share the story of who we were back then, why we broke up, and what it was like to sit across from him decades later as two very different men. I talk about the beauty and pain of loving someone when you’re young, the regrets and lessons that linger, and how sometimes, what doesn’t last as romance can come back as something just as powerful a lifelong friendship.

Who Am I
In this introspective episode of The HOOD DEBUTANTE, London Bambi dives deep into one of the most ancient and personal questions we’ll ever face: Who am I? Inspired by Bro. C. Freeman-El’s legendary lecture The Science of Self, this episode explores the layered journey of identity, self-knowledge, and self-revelation. London unpacks why your name is more than a labelit’s a vibration, a mission, a mirror. He shares how lying to yourself quietly poisons your spirit, why telling yourself the truth is an act of revolution, and how self-revelation isn’t just clarity it’s divine confrontation. And once that truth is unlocked? Spiritual hygiene becomes your new non-negotiable. From releasing comparison to protecting your vision, setting boundaries to reprogramming your inner voice London breaks down the sacred rituals of being your own best friend and becoming the highest version of yourself. If you’ve ever struggled to define who you are beyond your trauma, aesthetics, or titles this episode is your reminder that knowing yourself isn’t just a goal. It’s the whole assignment. Press play. Return to yourself.

You, Ai and the Truth
This episode isn’t about fear. It’s about reflection. About the slow ways we hand over our power without even noticing. I’m talking captions that sound like us but come from a bot. Love letters that people never had to struggle to write. Artists who no longer reach for the pencil because Midjourney’s brush is faster. And while all of that might look like convenience… I want us to ask: Who’s really benefiting from it? Because the answer isn’t you. Not fully. I grew up in a time where we learned from each other from glances, voices, awkward pauses, and hard conversations. I remember what it felt like to ask a real person for help. Now, we’re living in a world where tech billionaires, politicians, and corporations are monetizing our behavior, automating our identities, and repackaging intimacy for profit. And no one’s asking our permission they’re just assuming we’ll surrender. But here’s the thing: I’m not here to tell you to throw away your phone or cancel your AI tools. I use them too. What I’m saying is we’ve got to remember who’s holding the mic. And why that still matters. You’ll hear a story in this episode. One about a man who mistook a machine for a muse. So if you’re tired of feeling like a product in someone else’s system… If you’ve been slowly outsourcing your rhythm to the machine… This episode is for you. Because you’re not a prompt. You’re not here to be processed. You’re the rhythm the system couldn’t automate. Welcome to You, AI, and the Truth.

The Dangers of Nihilism
Ep 31: What happens when belief erodes one quiet heartbreak at a time? When joy feels suspicious, and purpose starts to sound like a punchline? In this episode, London Bambi walks you through the emotional terrain of nihilism a philosophy rooted in nothingness, but often born from real-life pain. Through the story of a man who lost faith in meaning after a series of betrayals and disappointments, we explore how detachment can become seductive, how numbness masquerades as wisdom, and why the idea that “nothing matters” might sound smart but starves the soul. This episode doesn’t offer cheap fixes. Instead, it traces the slow unraveling and eventual reawakening of someone who asked himself a question that changed everything. Whether you’ve wrestled with despair, apathy, or the feeling that everything is just noise, this one’s for you. Because sometimes, it’s not about finding meaning. It’s about choosing to build it anyway.

Cleaning Out The Rot
In this episode, I’m doing something different. Cleaning Out the Rot marks the beginning of a new era for The HOOD DEBUTANTE. From this point forward, I’m telling stories real, raw, metaphor rich stories that hold up a mirror to the soul. This one starts with a man named Elijah and a house that looks perfect… until something starts to smell. What unfolds is a metaphor for shadow work the deep, uncomfortable, necessary process of facing the parts of ourselves we’ve hidden, silenced, or been shamed into burying. Through Elijah’s story, I talk about: •What the shadow really is •How it shows up in your relationships, reactions, and patterns •The childhood roots of internal rot •The signs that your soul is overdue for renovation •And the transformation that happens when you finally do the work This isn’t surface level healing. This is spiritual demolition. If you’ve been feeling stuck, triggered, avoidant, or low-key haunted by your own behavior this episode is your flashlight. Let’s go into the basement together. Let’s clean out the rot. 🖤 Press play, take a breath, and meet me where the healing begins.

The Forgiveness Archetypes
What if forgiveness wasn’t a moral checklist but a spectrum of soul responses? In this powerful and poetic episode 28, London Bambi introduces his original Forgiveness Archetype Spectrum a 6 part framework that redefines how we understand forgiveness. From the transcendent mercy of the Divine Forgiver to the unwavering stance of the Eternal Judge, this episode takes you on a deep emotional journey through each archetype’s core traits, poetic essence, shaping forces, forgiveness philosophy, and response to harm. This isn’t about telling you to “let it go” it’s about giving you language for where you are and why that’s sacred. Whether you forgive instantly, selectively, with boundaries or not at all this episode will meet you there. Because every kind of forgiveness… and every kind of non-forgiveness… has a story. And a place. Listen if you’ve ever asked yourself: •“Why can’t I forgive?” •“Am I wrong for cutting them off?” •“What does healing look like when trust is gone?” This is for the soft ones, the scorched ones, the ones who remember everything.

The Age of the Cyborgs
The art installation, "Can't Help Myself," served as a profound inspiration for episode 7 of our podcast titled "The Age of the Cyborg." This piece, a poignant commentary on survival, is designed to continuously attempt to contain the hydraulic fluid it constantly leaks - a fluid that is ironically not essential for its operation. This futile struggle for survival mirrors the existential questions we grapple with in the age of the cyborg. When "Can't Help Myself" was first unveiled in 2016, it was a lively and interactive piece, performing 'happy dances' for spectators whenever it successfully contained the spill. However, as time passed, the leaks became larger and more frequent, leaving it with less time for interaction and more time spent in a desperate struggle for survival. This transformation from a vibrant piece to a desperate entity caught in a never-ending cycle of self-preservation was a heartbreaking sight. In 2019, the piece finally came to a standstill, marking its 'death.' But the twist was that the piece was actually powered by electricity, not hydraulics. It spent its entire existence fighting for something it didn't even need, deceived by the system it was born into. This narrative served as a powerful metaphor for our discussion in episode seven, "The Age of the Cyborg." The installation's struggle mirrors the existential questions we face as we become more intertwined with technology. It forces us to question our own struggles and the systems we're a part of. Despite being a mechanical piece, "Can't Help Myself" offers a profound lesson about life, survival, and the blurred lines between man and machine.
