Now it's time for Chapter 6 of 1997's "Child Bride" by Suzanne Finstad called  "Secret's Revealed." It was inevitable. Priscilla was always going to find out the TRUTH about where she came from and why she always felt "different" from her brothers and sisters. In this chapter, Priscilla learns the devastating story about her real father - a memory kept from her for over a decade, and how the deceit changed her self perception and way she viewed the world- forever after. Now it's time for Chapter 4 of 1997's "Child Bride" by Suzanne Finstad called "Fantasies of Elvis." Priscilla Beaulieu Presley's narrative has ALWAYS been that she wasn't really an Elvis fan when she first met him. Sure, she admitted in a few interviews over the years that she "liked" him, ('who didn't?" she would later say) but she maintains that she definitely was NOT crazy about him like so many other girls her age in 1956. This chapter takes direct aim at this claim, through interviews with Priscilla's child hood friends. We find out that according to them, at the time when Elvis exploded onto the scene, Priscilla WAS fascinated and completely enamored with Elvis - continually playing his records, and often relaying "make believe" fantasies to her close girlfriend about her desire to meet and eventually marry him. Hey guys, now that it is official that Netflix have severed their partnership with Meghan Markle I thought it was a great time to revisit the podcast interview she gave in the summer of 2025 where she talked all about what a wonderful thing she had going (according to HER at the time) with Netflix. Let's talk about the book "Child Bride" by Suzanne Finstad. There are some online that are of the opinion that the book is not accurate nor factual, due to the fact that in the late 1990s, Priscilla Presley successfully sued for defamation one of the book's sources - a man that knew Priscilla back in the late 1950s and early 1960s named Currie Grant.   In 1996, while conducting interviews for "Child Bride", Suzanne's investigation into Priscilla's claims about her early days with Elvis Presley in Germany blew Priscilla's narrative out of the water - once Suzanne began to interview Currie Grant and uncover HIS version of events. Shortly thereafter, enraged with anger (and some would say fear) Priscilla proceeded to sue Currie over some heated taped interviews that he gave to the author- both alone, and also in conjunction with Priscilla herself at the author's home. Priscilla took issue with the story that Currie told Suzanne about the nature of his relationship with Priscilla, BEFORE she had met Elvis. This explosive story punched a hole in the narrative that Priscilla had and has been telling in the public domain for decades- one that she famously chronicled in her 1985 memoir, "Elvis and Me." In her memoir, Priscilla says that she was a 14 year old innocent when she married Elvis and remained one until their wedding day in May 1967. Needless to say, Currie does not agree with Priscilla's version of events surrounding the timeline of Priscilla's early days - both with him and with Elvis in Germany.   Currie Grant always insisted that Priscilla's version of events was NOT what really happened. In 1998, Priscilla won her defamation case against Currie Grant. However, there is far more to the story. In 2010, an Elvis biographer and researcher named Alana Nash uncovered the details of the once confidential legal settlement between Currie and Priscilla following the lawsuit. What were those details, and why do they seem to protect Currie as well, despite the fact that Priscilla is the one that actually WON the defamation lawsuit against him?   The results are eye opening, and only serve to raise more questions - namely- is the carefully crafted origin story that Priscilla Presley created about herself true- or is it HER version of a made up fiction? Now it's time for Chapter 3 of "Child Bride" by Suzanne Finstad called "Little Girl Lost" Priscilla Beaulieu Presley was denied the sad story of her birth father, a Naval pilot named James Wagner, who died while she was only a few months old. As a result, she grew up a beautiful, yet very sad, lonely little girl. Let's officially start the next book read  - Suzanne Finstad's 1997 book - "Child Bride" The Untold Story of Priscilla Beaulieu Presley! Let's set the stage for the book with the author's Prologue and Chapter 1- but first - Why did the author endeavor to write this book in the first place? Simple. Before "Child Bride" - The ONLY biography of Priscilla Presley out in the media and culture was Priscilla's own 1985 autobiography of her life with Elvis Presley - the worldwide sensation "Elvis and Me. However, it was a very narrow and one sided perception of Priscilla and her orgin story - with NO accounts or interviews (other than Priscilla's own narrative) to counter or substantiate her origin story and legend. This book aims to right this- with over 2 years of methodical research and interviews with over 300 people who knew Priscilla at different stages of her (then) 5 decade life, it shatters the engrained, established Priscilla Presley "myth" like no other book has, before or since.  In 2025, Priscilla Presley published another memoir chronicling her life with Elvis called "Softly As I Leave You" - and many critics complained that this book was just another one of her guarded rehashed narratives she has been telling about her life- in dozens of interviews since the the mid 1980s. Some would argue that "Child Bride" is as relevant today as it was in 1997 when it was published - particularly when you pair it along side the numerous and troubling headlines that Priscilla Presley has been involved with in 2025 - right up to the present day. Welcome to the final episode in the "Errol Flynn Slept Here" book read series. This is Ep. 13, and the Final Chapter in the book, called "The Death of Mulholland Farm." It is May 1988. Errol Flynn is now dead and gone, and the house that he built in 1941, his beloved Mulholland House, has sat vacant for almost three years, after the tragic death of its last owner, rock and roll superstar Rick Nelson. On a balmy spring afternoon, high in the mountains overlooking the San Fernando Valley, quite unceremoniously, the infamous party house, which Flynn once called his "refuge", is bulldozed to the ground, less than 50 years after its construction. In this episode, we explore the house's lasting legacy, and how its tragic end mirrored that of its most famous owner. We also enter into Errol's tortured mindset by exploring his own haunting and sometimes gentle, almost poetic musings, from his autobiography, "My Wicked, Wicked Ways." Between 1941 and 1985, three famous men - all with stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame - have owned and lived in the house, but none surpass the legend of the original owner, the charismatic and dangerous Errol Flynn.   It's been a wild ride with Errol - thanks for being here and supporting the "Errol Flynn Slept Here" series! We all know - or think we know - Priscilla Presley. Ex-Wife of American Icon Elvis Presley. Mother to his only daughter, the late Lisa Marie Presley. Let's continue with the book "Errol Flynn Slept Here" by Robert Matzen and Micheal Mazzone. It's time for Ch. 9, "Consumed by Mulholland." The famous Mulholland Farm, the house that Errol Flynn built in the early 1940s high in the Hollywood Hills, has now had TWO famous owners - Errol himself and Country music legend Stuart Hamblen. In this episode, both have since left the Farm, and now it's the early 1980's when famous Rock and TV star Ricky Nelson has moved his family in. Almost from the beginning, something doesn't seem right, and Ricky's marriage crumbles under the house's weight. Much like Errol did in his last years at Mulholland, Ricky has to work and tour constantly to keep up with the payments and the lifestyle the house offers. Soon a dark energy begins to consume Rick and his children, and years later, they tell the story of their Dad's decline into darkness. So Madonna is half naked on the old Instagram (again.) Apparently, she has been ramping up the raunchiness for a few years now. Now that the Christmas season is here, I couldn't help but be reminded of one of my favorite stories of all time - Charles Dickens' Masterpiece, "A Christmas Carol." Let's continue with the book "Errol Flynn Slept Here" by Robert Matzen and Micheal Mazzone. It's time for Ch. 10, called "This OLE House." The famous Mulholland Farm, the house that Errol Flynn built specifically to his liking, to be his castle away from the world, still lived and breathed on for almost 30 years after his death. In this video, we take a look at the new owners and the legacies that they started up at the Farm after the Flynn years. First up is country music legend and gospel cowboy Stuart Hamblen, who moves in after Errol is forced out of his beloved property in the late 1950s. His large family arrives to the house and farm to share laughs and loves for almost two decades - and he brings a decidedly different and more wholesome flair to the original Hollywood "bachlelor pad" that Errol was famous for. After 7 years of Errol Flynn's Hollywood boozing, carousing, and partying, the good times had to come to a halt. It all begins one night in October 1942, in the San Fernando Mountains high above Hollywood. In this video, as a 20+ year esthetician,  I explain the potential risks of Meghan's DIY Bath Salt Soak recipe from Episode #1 of her "With Love Meghan" series (Season 1) and why you should NOT try her method for yourself WITHOUT knowledge of essential oils and their potential risks! There MAY be the potential for skin irritations if you use an essential oil ON ITS OWN without using "carrier oils" - and I explain this in detail in the video. In episode 1 of her series, Meghan makes a DIY at home bath salt soak recipe, but I realized that there is potential for someone to get confused with the ingredients she uses. Essential oils are volatile plant compounds that may have the potential to irritate people's skin, especially those who are particularly sensitive! In Ep. 1 of With Love, Meghan, where we see her make up her bath salt recipe, Meghan MAY have used an essential oil MIXED with a carrier oil, BUT she does NOT clarify this-  so I am here to help you minimize the potential risks of making this recipe -advising you on what to do and what NOT to do if you attempt to try this at home.   EDIT - Someone mentioned in my YT comments that she also used Pink Himalayan Salt in her mixture- that is totally FINE to use if you want to! Although note - that Himalayan pink salt does NOT dissolve into water as readily as Epsom salt (due to its chemical composition) so there is a potential that Himalayan pink salt MAY leave someone with dry to very dry to sensitive skin drier after soaking in it. Personally- I wouldn’t bother with the pink salt she uses- save that for other things like cooking if you like that.   ALSO- for those questioning if salt itself is water based - YES - H2O is a major component of salt - and Epsom Salt contains a little over 50% water in its composition.   Here's a much SAFER RECIPE - 1- 2 cups Epsom Salt (measured) Mix very thoroughly into the salt - 1-2 drops of your favorite Essential oil WITH 8-10 drops of a good carrier oil (like jojoba, argan, almond oil, etc.) Put a lid on the mixture and use within 1-3 days max) NOTE  - IF you like and can tolerate a stronger scent and want to use more Essential oil, then remember - for every 1-2 drops of essential oil you add, you MUST remember to add 8-10 more drops of carrier oil as well. I wouldn't recommend using more than 6-8 drops of your ESSENTIAL OIL in total - That way you avoid potential future irritations. When in doubt patch test for at least 24 hours prior to using any kind of oil (essential or not) on your skin- and that goes for any cosmetic preparations!
