In another answer, Waugh also suggests part-owner Jamiee Reuben helped negotiated the transfer of Anthony Elanga to the Magpies, and at the start of this video, Lee covers the latest on Anthony Gordon's possible transfer to Bayern Munich. Why do Newcastle United get so many loans wrong?

Lee does a report on all nine players who are out on loan away from Newcastle United on how they have faired, not many are successes, which begs the question is to who is making the decision at the club. Shola Ameobi is the contact for the players, and helps with all things on and off the pitch. The Magpies have not had great success in the loan market down the years and so many are not getting game time, especially when youngsters need it to go on to become a Premier League regular. This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT. Eddie Howe in or out?

Substitute Jean-Philippe Mateta scored a dramatic late double as Crystal Palace came from behind to beat Newcastle United. The visitors looked to be on course for a much-needed victory following William Osula's first-half strike at Selhurst Park. But Newcastle have thrown away more points from winning positions (25) than any other side in the Premier League and Crystal Palace came roaring back late on.Newcastle breathed a sigh of relief after Jefferson Lerma's header crashed off the crossbar, but the hosts eventually equalised in the 80th minute.Daniel Munoz broke forward down the right and the defender's cross was coolly hooked back across by Tyrick Mitchell to Mateta, who headed the ball down and into the net to leave manager Oliver Glasner jumping for joy on the touchline.Opposite number Eddie Howe, by contrast, bowed his head, but the Newcastle head coach's afternoon was about to get even worse.Referee Andy Madley awarded Crystal Palace a penalty in the first minute of stoppage time when defender Sven Botman pulled Jefferson Lerma's shirt inside the box.Up stepped Mateta, who picked out the bottom right corner to the delight of the home supporters. The hosts' win meant they leapfrogged Newcastle into 13th place, as Howe's team fell to 14th.This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT. Clickbait and fake news

In a world where social media, online articles, journalists to media personnel - the way Newcastle United is covered in the modern day has totally changed. Back in the 90's and early 2000's, coverage of the Magpies in the Premier League stemmed from newspapers and fanzines. Now in 20206 it's all digital and everyone is your click, however this is where fake news kicks in because it drives traffic, the same method if someone is negative about their football club. PSR is going away, what does this mean for Newcastle's spending?

The Premier League has introduced a new set of financial rules, which will replace the existing Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) from the 2026/27 season. Developed through extensive consultation with clubs and a wide range of stakeholders, these rules are designed to secure financial sustainability of clubs, while promoting long-term investment and protecting the competitive balance of the Premier League. They aim to achieve this in a way where compliance can be monitored and enforced "in season" to promote certainty and clarity for fans, clubs and stakeholders. In developing the new financial system, the Premier League has sought to devise a framework that works effectively in parallel with UEFA’s rules and is consistent with the objectives of the Independent Football Regulator. This page provides a simplified summary of the Premier League’s new financial system, outlining how it will work and the key objectives that underpin it. The full set of rules will be published in Section E of the Premier League Handbook in due course. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

Newcastle missed the chance to climb into the Premier League's top five after being held to a goalless draw at battling Wolves. The Champions League-chasing Magpies were looking for a fourth straight league win for the first time since April, but lacked inspiration as striker Nick Woltemade again drew a blank. The £69m Germany forward, who scored on his Newcastle debut against Wolves in September, now has just three goals in his past 19 games and was replaced by Yoane Wissa in the second half.Eddie Howe's side would have gone fifth with a win by two clear goals, but did not manage a shot on target until the 85th minute - although they did move up a place to eighth with this point.Rock-bottom Wolves are 14 points from safety and have other priorities, but have rediscovered their drive and - more importantly - their organisation in recent weeks. While it will be too late to save them after failing to win any of their opening 19 games, there is at least growing optimism for the future under boss Rob Edwards.Much of that comes from teenage breakthrough star Mateus Mane, who hooked a shot at Nick Pope, while Jose Sa saved late efforts from Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton.Woltemade's goal struggles will be a growing concern for Howe - and the striker's barren spell could dent Newcastle's Champions League hopes.Just three goals in his past 19 games is not a total Woltemade or his manager would have expected after a goalscoring debut against Wolves in September. The German scored five times in his first eight matches after a club record move from Stuttgart in an impressive start to life in the north east. But that confidence has ebbed away and the 23-year-old was replaced by Wissa midway through the second half after another fruitless outing.Woltemade was not given a great deal of service, but what he did have to work with he wasted - including a glancing first-half header which he may have done better with.He still has seven goals in 19 appearances, but if he fails to re-find his shooting boots it will harm the Magpies' top-four chances.Newcastle had scored seven goals in their past three league matches - all wins - before coming to Molineux, but with just one by a striker (Wissa's goal against Burnley). The Magpies did not have a shot on target while Woltemade was on the pitch on Sunday - albeit a statistic he is not entirely responsible for - and will view a stalemate against the league's bottom side as a wasted opportunity. However, Wolves have rediscovered their fight and a point in a forgettable match was a fair result, even if Newcastle will have reasons to be deflated. This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT. Newcastle 2-2 Chelsea

Chelsea forward Joao Pedro haunted former suitors Newcastle United as his side showed their powers of recovery to come back from 2-0 down and claim a point. It looked a long way back for Chelsea at a raucous St James' Park after a well-taken double from Nick Woltemade put Newcastle in control at half-time.But no side have dropped more points - 13 - from winning positions in the Premier League than Newcastle. So the stadium suddenly felt a little nervy when Chelsea captain Reece James pulled one back with a pinpoint 25-yard free-kick just a few minutes into the second half.It then turned a little hostile when Newcastle were denied a penalty after Trevoh Chalobah bodychecked Anthony Gordon inside the box before Chelsea equalised. Joao Pedro, who opted to move to Chelsea ahead of Newcastle last summer, drew his side level. The Brazilian raced through on goal and slotted the ball past Aaron Ramsdale after capitalising on a slip from defender Malick Thiaw. It set up a grandstand finish as the game became increasingly stretched and Harvey Barnes had a glorious opportunity to win it for Newcastle late on, but the substitute fired wide on the volley to leave head coach Eddie Howe covering his face with his hands on the touchline. Chelsea remain six points clear of Newcastle in fourth while Howe's side are in 11th for the time being. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Germany media & fans go nuts over Woltemade | Elanga leaves Swedish camp early for personal reasons

Newcastle United’s November international break saw a mixed set of fortunes for their players, with several key names representing their countries while others were forced to withdraw due to injury. The Magpies had 12 players called up across England, Italy, Brazil, Germany, and Sweden, highlighting the squad’s growing international profile. Dan Burn featured for England in World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania, while Bruno Guimarães continued to impress for Brazil. Sandro Tonali was included in Italy’s squad for their crucial qualifier against Moldova, though his situation drew headlines after a surprise decision regarding his availability. Meanwhile, Anthony Gordon and Nick Pope were both withdrawn from England duty due to injury concerns, a blow for their personal ambitions but potentially a relief for Eddie Howe, who will want them fit for Newcastle’s upcoming fixtures.Elsewhere, Nick Woltemade and Malick Thiaw represented Germany, while Anthony Elanga linked up with Sweden. The break came at a difficult time for Newcastle, who entered it on the back of consecutive Premier League defeats to West Ham and Brentford, despite taking early leads in both matches. Fans have grown frustrated with the dip in form, but the pause offered Howe a chance to regroup and reset ahead of a daunting run of fixtures. When domestic action resumes, Newcastle face Manchester City at St James’ Park on 22 November, followed by a crucial Champions League clash away to Marseille and then a Premier League trip to Everton. With international duties wrapped up, Howe will hope his returning stars bring confidence and momentum back to Tyneside, as the Magpies look to reignite their season. Hosted on Acast. Brentford 3-1 Newcastle

Igor Thiago scored a late double as Brentford came from behind to defeat Newcastle United and extend the visitors' miserable Premier League record on the road. Harvey Barnes had put Newcastle ahead in the first half at the Gtech Community Stadium after lashing the ball through the legs of goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher from inside the box. But Brentford came roaring back after the break and the hosts drew level through Kevin Schade's header after Sven Botman could only flick Michael Kayode's long throw across the box to the forward, who nodded home.It was Brentford, rather than Newcastle, who pushed for a winner and the hosts were awarded a spot-kick by referee Stuart Attwell when Dan Burn took down Dango Ouattara inside the box. Burn, who was relieved to avoid punishment after fouling Ouattara inside the box only a few minutes earlier, was sent off after being shown a second yellow card. It fell to substitute Aaron Ramsdale, on his first league appearance for Newcastle, to try to save Thiago's penalty after a groggy Pope went off following an awkward landing. But the goalkeeper's first act of the afternoon was to pick the ball out of the net after Thiago coolly sent him the wrong way from the spot. There was still time for Thiago to add another after Malick Thiaw failed to deal with a through ball and the Brentford striker finished past Ramsdale once again. Newcastle, who have slipped to 14th place, have now failed to win an away league game since April. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Three board members leave & illness is hitting the squad

Peter Silverstone, Newcastle's Chief Commercial Officer, has been placed on gardening leave and will leave the club after three years. His departure is part of a 100-day internal review led by new CEO David Hopkinson, who replaced Darren Eales earlier this year. Silverstone is expected to take up a business role at Juventus, marking a return to continental football. The review has already led to two other senior exits: Paul Mitchell, former sporting director, was replaced by Ross Wilson. Darren Eales, former CEO, officially departed in October.Manager Eddie Howe confirmed that a sickness bug has affected several players ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Athletic Club. Bruno Guimaraes, the team captain, is a major doubt after missing training. Other affected players include: Sandro Tonali, Jacob Murphy, Kieran TrippierHowe stated: “He’s such an important player for us but he’s clearly not been himself and that’s why he missed training today.”Newcastle are preparing for a Champions League home match against Athletic Club. The illness outbreak and recent injuries (e.g., Tino Livramento and Yoane Wissa with knee issues) could significantly impact squad selection. This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT. Fan debate on West Ham 3-1 Newcastle

Spirited West Ham came from behind to record their first home win of the season against Newcastle United at the London Stadium. Jacob Murphy had given Newcastle the lead with an effort from the edge of the area in the opening stages - just seconds after West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen hit the post at the other end. But West Ham rallied and the hosts' eventually got their rewards when Lucas Paqueta lashed home an equaliser from outside the box.West Ham then took the lead just before half-time when the sliding Sven Botman turned Aaron Wan-Bissaka's cross into his own net. Nuno Espirito Santo's team went on to score a third in stoppage time when substitute Tomas Soucek tapped in the rebound after Pope had denied Bowen. It was the least West Ham deserved following a committed display by the hosts, who earlier had a penalty award overturned after a video assistant referee (VAR) review. Referee Robert Jones changed his mind after consulting his pitchside monitor, with the television footage showing Newcastle defender Malick Thiaw touching the ball before making contact with Bowen inside the area. But not only did West Ham go on to find a way back into the game - they won it. The Hammers remain in the relegation zone but are now three points behind 17th-placed Burnley following a first league win under Nuno since he took charge in September. Newcastle, meanwhile, have not triumphed on the road in the Premier League in seven months. This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT. Fan reaction show to Newcastle 2-0 Spurs

A pair of headers from Fabian Schar and Nick Woltemade sent holders Newcastle United into the Carabao Cup quarter-finals at the expense of Tottenham. Spurs have hurt a number of sides with their aerial ability this season, particularly at set-plays, but the much-changed hosts gave Thomas Frank's team a taste of their own medicine at St James' Park.Newcastle took the lead midway through the first half when Schar easily rose above Lucas Bergvall to head them in front from Sandro Tonali's corner. Spurs players protested to referee Chris Kavanagh as Tonali took the corner just as defender Djed Spence got to his feet after putting his boot back on, but the goal stood. Woltemade doubled his side's lead with his sixth goal of the season after the German met Joe Willock's scooped cross and nodded past goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky, who missed the ball completely.Spurs went close to immediately pulling one back when midfielder Pape Sarr's first-time effort forced Aaron Ramsdale into a flying save to his left. But Newcastle, who also had Harvey Barnes smack the bar with an acrobatic effort, saw the game out to reach the last eight of the competition for the fourth consecutive season. This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT. Yoane Wissa & Lewis Hall injury timescales, Ross Wilson, plus more news!

Newcastle head to the Amex Stadium with momentum, but manager Eddie Howe struck a measured tone in his pre-match press conference. He confirmed that Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento are still being monitored closely, with Hall likely to miss out due to a lingering knock, while Livramento remains a doubt but could feature depending on late fitness tests. Interestingly, Howe also addressed Yoane Wissa, clarifying that although Wissa is not a Newcastle player, his name came up in broader injury discussions—likely a mix-up or media speculation. On the administrative side, Howe praised Ross Wilson, Newcastle’s director of football, for his strategic vision and calm leadership, noting that Wilson’s influence has been “transformative” in shaping the club’s recruitment and long-term planning. Live fan reaction - Newcastle United 1-2 Barcelona

Marcus Rashford's latest stop on the road to redemption has led him to Barcelona and one of the elite stages in the global game. The 27-year-old England forward who lost his way at Manchester United and was brutally exiled by head coach Ruben Amorim may have finally landed on his feet on loan at Barcelona, under the expert guidance of head coach Hansi Flick. Many observers felt Rashford was fortunate to be afforded such a platform following an earlier loan spell at Aston Villa that was hardly stellar, and which was ended prematurely by a hamstring injury. He will be as aware as anyone that if he falls short at Barcelona, he is unlikely to get another shot at a club of this stature. And yet, in the space of nine stunning minutes of Barcelona's opening Champions League meeting with Newcastle at St James' Park, Rashford delivered a reminder of the thrilling talent he used to be - and still has time to be again. To make Rashford's night even better, it was all done in front of watching England head coach Thomas Tuchel, who retains enough faith to keep including the forward in his squad despite the fact he has become something of a wandering star.Rashford had hinted at what was to come in fleeting first-half moments, especially when an extravagant dummy left Kieran Trippier trailing in his wake, only to spoil his good work with a poor finish. It all changed on 58 minutes when he opened up what had been a tight encounter, getting on the end of Jules Kounde's right-wing cross to plant a firm header beyond Newcastle keeper Nick Pope's right hand. This was Rashford's first Champions League goal in almost four years and his first for Barcelona. What followed nine minutes later was arguably the finest moment he has produced in recent memory. He collected possession 20 yards out before, in the blink of an eye, flashing a stunning finish past Pope, the strike made even more spectacular because it kissed the bar before hitting the back of the net. Newcastle's keeper barely saw it, let alone had a chance to do something about it.Rashford turned away to accept the acclaim of Barcelona's fans perched high in the Leazes End, the previous taunts of Newcastle's supporters silenced. The cameras cut to Tuchel, who was not moving a facial muscle but who must have surely been smiling inside at two such significant contributions. This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT. Scoring the players

Newcastle United secured their first Premier League win of the season with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at St. James' Park. The match was decided by a towering header from club-record signing Nick Woltemade, who marked his debut with a goal in the 29th minute, converting Jacob Murphy’s lofted cross at the back post. Despite Wolves starting brightly and forcing two early saves from Nick Pope, they failed to capitalise and remain winless at the bottom of the table.Newcastle dominated possession and showed defensive resilience, with Bruno Guimarães picking up a late yellow card as tensions rose. The result lifts Eddie Howe’s side to ninth in the standings and offers a promising glimpse of life after Alexander Isak’s departure. This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT. Rocked with two injuries to two new players | Latest with the club

Newcastle United host Wolverhampton Wanderers at St. James’ Park in a clash between two sides desperate to kickstart their Premier League campaigns. The Magpies, still searching for their first win of the season, have shown defensive resilience but struggled to convert chances, drawing twice and losing narrowly to Liverpool. Eddie Howe will be hoping new signing Nick Woltemade can inject some attacking spark, though Yoane Wissa, also a new signing, misses out due to injury. Wolves, meanwhile, sit bottom of the table after three straight defeats, conceding eight goals in the process. Manager Vitor Pereira faces mounting pressure, and history isn’t on his side—Wolves have won just once in their last 22 visits to Tyneside. With both teams eager to break their winless streaks, expect a tense and potentially decisive encounter. This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT. Alexander Isak joins Liverpool | Yoane Wissa is a Magpie

In a dramatic deadline-day shake-up, Liverpool have shattered the British transfer record by signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle for £125 million, handing the Swedish striker a six-year deal that marks a new era at Anfield. Isak’s move follows a tense standoff with Newcastle, where he refused to play amid broken promises, ultimately forcing the club’s hand. Meanwhile, Newcastle wasted no time in reshaping their attack, securing Yoane Wissa from Brentford in a £55 million deal.Wissa, who scored 19 Premier League goals last season, arrives with Champions League ambitions and a fiery determination, having publicly demanded his exit from Brentford just hours before the transfer was finalised. With Isak gone and Wissa stepping in, both clubs have made bold moves that could redefine their seasons. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Will Alexander Isak go? | Will Yoane Wissa go?

📲 Yoane Wissa’s Instagram bombshell - Wissa publicly called out Brentford, accusing them of breaking a written promise to let him leave if a fair offer came in. He said he’s been professional, transparent, and wants to move on for the sake of his career and family. Newcastle reportedly had a £40m bid rejected, while Brentford are now asking for £65m.⚫⚪ Newcastle’s striker strategy - They’ve already signed Nick Woltemade for a club-record fee, but Eddie Howe wants one more forward before the window shuts. Jørgen Strand Larsen is also on their radar. He’s pushing for a move from Wolves, but the club is resisting — even offering him a new contract to stay. Both Wissa and Strand Larsen have been left out of their squads this weekend, signalling intent to force a move.🔴 Isak to Liverpool? - This saga is the real domino. Isak has gone public too, saying his relationship with Newcastle “can’t continue” and that promises were broken. Liverpool’s initial £110m bid was rejected, but they’re expected to return with a record-breaking offer. Newcastle are now open to selling — but only if they lock in replacements.🧩 What’s next? - If Newcastle can land either Wissa or Strand Larsen — or both — it likely unlocks Isak’s exit. But Brentford and Wolves are playing hardball, and time is running out. This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT. What's happened to our wingers?

A goalless draw at Elland Road tonight — Leeds and Newcastle shared the spoils in a tense but low-quality affair. Both sides struggled to create clear chances, with Leeds managing just one shot on target, a late effort from Dominic Calvert-Lewin that was denied by Nick Pope’s studs.Newcastle, missing key attackers Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon, lacked bite up front despite dominating possession (57%). New signing Nick Woltemade watched from the stands, and his absence was felt as the Magpies failed to convert their control into goals1.Leeds, meanwhile, remain unbeaten at home this season, but their attacking play fizzled out repeatedly in the final third. It’s a result that leaves both teams still searching for rhythm early in the campaign. This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT. Eddie Howe speaks about Nick Woltemade

Newcastle are set for a club-record deal to sign Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart, reportedly worth £69 million including add-ons. The 23-year-old German striker is 6'6", but don’t let the height fool you—he’s technically gifted, creative, and known for drifting wide and dropping deep. He was scouted extensively by Andy Howe and preferred a move to the Premier League over Bayern Munich. However, despite flying into the North East and completing his medical, Woltemade won’t be registered in time to face Leeds. His debut is expected after the international break, likely against Wolves at St James’ Park.🚑 Team News vs Leeds United.Newcastle are heading to Elland Road with a depleted squad:Anthony Gordon is suspended after his red card vs Liverpool.Joelinton is out with a groin injury, but should return post-break.Alexander Isak remains unavailable amid transfer drama with Liverpool..Sandro Tonali is battling a shoulder injury but might feature if he can manage the pain.Fabian Schar passed concussion protocols and is fit to play.🧨 With Gordon suspended and Isak AWOL, William Osula is expected to lead the line. He scored off the bench against Liverpool and now gets his chance to start.🧠 In midfield, Bruno Guimarães will anchor things, possibly joined by Jacob Ramsey, who impressed in his cameo last week. Tonali’s availability remains touch-and-go.📺 The match kicks off Saturday 5:30pm at Elland Road and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports. This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT. As Newcastle scramble for striker reinforcements, David Ornstein reports that Wolves forward Jørgen Strand Larsen is keen on a move to Tyneside, though he’s not actively agitating for a transfer out of respect for his current club. This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT. ISAK SAYS NO TO THE P.I.F. | WHERE ARE THE CEO & SPORTING DIRECTOR? | STRIKERS COMING IN?

Alexander Isak’s refusal to back down in his desire to leave Newcastle—even after face-to-face talks with Jamie Reuben and the PIF delegation—has thrown the club into a storm of uncertainty. While the hierarchy insists he’s under contract and not for sale unless conditions are met, fans are left asking: where’s the leadership? The CEO and Sporting Director appointments have dragged on, with David Hopkinson and Ross Wilson reportedly lined up but still not officially confirmed. Stadium plans remain in limbo too—will it be a 70,000-seat Leazes Park superstructure or a Gallowgate expansion?. The U21s are still without a permanent boss after Diarmuid O’Carroll’s exit, with Robbie Stockdale only holding the fort. And with the striker situation dire—Isak on strike, Wilson gone, Gordon suspended—fans are desperate to know if Jorgen Strand Larsen or anyone else will walk through the door before the deadline8. Scoring the players | Newcastle United 2-3 Liverpool

Liverpool's 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha made history as the youngest scorer in the club's history when he struck with virtually the last kick of a breathless encounter to snatch victory against Newcastle United at a stunned St James' Park. The atmosphere was red hot, feelings running high after the Reds' lengthy pursuit of the home side's rebel striker Alexander Isak. And it got the drama it deserved as Newcastle rose off the canvas to rattle the Premier League champions, pulling back to 2-2 after being 2-0 down and despite having Anthony Gordon sent off in first-half stoppage time.Eddie Howe's men had mounted a frantic early surge on Liverpool's goal but were hit by a sucker punch 10 minutes before the break when Ryan Gravenberch's low shot beat Nick Pope, helped by a slight deflection off Fabian Schar. A feisty encounter was constantly played on the edge and it boiled over in first-half stoppage time when Gordon, playing up front, was shown a red card by referee Simon Hooper for a rash late challenge on Virgil van Dijk - the decision confirmed after a video assistant referee (VAR) check.Liverpool stunned the hosts again by doubling their advantage within 30 seconds of the restart when Hugo Ekitike, the striker who snubbed the Magpies to move to Anfield instead, scored with a low, placed right-foot finish. But, despite being a man down, Newcastle rallied and captain Bruno Guimaraes gave them hope with a diving header at the far post after 57 minutes. With Liverpool losing their composure under pressure, substitute Will Osula got in ahead of Gravenberch to bundle in the equaliser past Alisson after 88 minutes.Liverpool looked to have thrown away a victory that looked certain at the start of the second half until substitute Ngumoha, at 16 years and 361 days, provided a sensational climax when left unmarked to fire home in the 10th of 11 added minutes. This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT. '£5m apart in valuation' for Jorgen Strand Larsen to move to Newcastle United

🧲 Newcastle Interest: Eddie Howe is actively looking to strengthen his attack, especially after Callum Wilson’s departure and ongoing uncertainty around Alexander Isak, who’s being eyed by Liverpool.⚽ Strand Larsen’s Stats: He bagged 14 goals in 35 Premier League appearances last season, proving himself as a reliable striker for Wolves.🗣️ Player’s Stance: Strand Larsen isn’t pushing for an exit, but he’s reportedly open and excited about the possibility of joining Newcastle, especially with Champions League football on offer.🔄 Transfer Dynamics: Wolves made his move from Celta Vigo permanent earlier this summer, so they won’t let him go easily — especially after losing Matheus Cunha. If Isak does leave, Strand Larsen could be a smart, clinical replacement — not identical in style, but a solid fit alongside wingers like Gordon. Outside the training ground as Alexander Isak arrives

After dropping a bombshell Instagram post accusing Newcastle of “broken promises” and saying the relationship “can’t continue,” Alexander Isak has returned to training — albeit separately from the first team. His post, which followed weeks of speculation and a rejected £110m bid from Liverpool, made it clear he wants out. Newcastle responded firmly, stating no promises were made and that Isak remains under contract. They’ve left the door open for his return, but the atmosphere is tense.Newcastle’s attempt to sign Brentford’s Yoane Wissa as a potential replacement for Isak hit another wall. Their improved bid — £35m plus £5m in add-ons — was rejected by Brentford, who are holding firm despite Wissa reportedly pushing for the move5. With Brentford already losing key players this summer, they’re reluctant to let Wissa go without a replacement.Isak’s future: Still uncertain. Unless Newcastle land two strikers, they’re unlikely to sell him — even if Liverpool return with a mega bid. Wissa’s stance: He’s training but has scrubbed Brentford from his socials, signaling his desire to leave. Newcastle’s dilemma: They’re caught between keeping a disgruntled star and failing to secure reinforcements. This podcast has been created and uploaded by Newcastle Fans TV, the views in this podcast are not necessarily the views of talkSPORT.
