It's Not Goodbye, It's to New Beginnings - The Layoff Podcast

The Layoff Podcast host, Marissa Alonzo-Ackerman, signs off one last time. The Layoff Podcast was intended to be a platform that supported a collaborative space between jobseekers, companies, and recruiters. The Layoff Podcast followed the stories of jobseekers impacted by layoffs, their journey to find their next chapter, and more. The Layoff Podcast was the only platform dedicated to sharing stories and was met with heavy criticism for sharing the reality of layoff impacts to workers across the globe. Here are the ending statistics regarding layoffs in 2023: https://techcrunch.com/2023/12/4/tech-layoffs-2023-list/ Layoffs are 50% higher than 2022 with over 240,000 reported jobs lost and climbing (Big Tech) https://www.forbes.com/sites/jackkelly/2023/02/07/layoffs-are-harming-the-mental-health-of-workers-making-them-feel-vulnerable-and-disposable/?sh=58238c58667e Layoffs are harming the mental health of workers (since 2022) https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-05-01/corporate-america-focuses-on-cost-cuts-and-layoffs-not-growth?embedded-checkout=true https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKD1iRvsjHA Layoffs are intended to harm the economy and billionaires are intentional about RIF.
