Thoughts on Resilience and Burnout

The Basis of Imposter Syndrome
Oxford Dictionary defines imposter syndrome as "the persistent inability to believe that one's success is deserved or has been legitimately achieved as a result of one's own efforts or skills." It has been shown to primarily impact high achieving women, and about 70% of high achieving women will experience imposter syndrome over the course of their career. A New Definition of Burnout
Burnout is traditionally defined as something that is only experienced in a work environment, but we are dynamic beings! The lines between work, identify, and our general life responsibilities are blurred or sometimes completely absent. In this episode, I give burnout my personal definition and discuss why stepping back is not always the answer, especially for high achieving women.
