    Thoughts on Resilience and Burnout

    It is almost inevitable that the topic of resilience will come up whenever there is a discussion on burnout.     The Basis of Imposter Syndrome

    Oxford Dictionary defines imposter syndrome as "the persistent inability to believe that one's success is deserved or has been legitimately achieved as a result of one's own efforts or skills." It has been shown to primarily impact high achieving women,  and about 70% of high achieving women will experience imposter syndrome over the course of their career. The added emotional toll of imposter syndrome may be contributing to your burnout.In this episode, we will take a look at imposter syndrome and present the root cause of this unfortunate experience.     A New Definition of Burnout

    Burnout is traditionally defined as something that is only experienced in a work environment, but we are dynamic beings! The lines between work, identify, and our general life responsibilities are blurred or sometimes completely absent. In this episode, I give burnout my personal definition and discuss why stepping back is not always the answer, especially for high achieving women.
