Special Weather Statement | Maryland Weather
Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Maryland Weather Podcast — it's Wednesday, February 25th. Step outside and that damp 35-degree air hits you. Gray skies overhead. But stick around.. Because we're climbing to 51 degrees by this afternoon. Early birds, listen up. Patchy black ice lurks on untreated roads through 10 A.M. Take it slow if you're heading out. Down in Baltimore Metro, rain rolls through between 6 A.M. and 9 A.M. Heaviest around 6 A.M., then it clears. You start at 35 degrees and climb steadily. By 4 P.M.? You hit 51. Winds shift from south to southwest around 8 A.M., gusting to 22 miles an hour. Tonight turns partly cloudy with a low around 37. Central Maryland sees the same story. Rain from 6 to 9 A.M., peaking around 24 degrees. You start at 36 degrees, reaching 50 by 4 P.M. Winds shift around 9 A.M. Tonight drops to 36 under partly cloudy skies. Western Maryland.. This is where it gets interesting. Brief snow chance around 6 A.M. But Garrett County takes the punch. A Winter Weather Advisory runs until 10 A.M. with 2 to 5 inches possible. Wind Advisory continues until 1 P.M. with gusts to 50 miles an hour. That's tree-snapping wind, folks. Highs still reach 51 by 4 P.M. Tonight drops to 34. Coastal listeners in Anne Arundel County, a Coastal Flood Advisory runs 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. Minor flooding possible around high tide at Annapolis. Here's your week ahead. Tomorrow brings more rain, possibly mixing with snow. Highs in the mid-40s. Friday clears out nicely. But Saturday? Circle that day. Sunny skies and 57 degrees in Baltimore, pushing 59 out west. Early next week we're watching a potential wintry mix Monday into Tuesday. Charge your phone before that wind hits. You might need it. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Maryland Weather: 02-20-2026
Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Maryland Weather Podcast. It's Friday, February 16th. Folks, Maryland is running a 12 degree temperature split this morning. Baltimore's sitting pretty at 49 degrees. Western Maryland? Stuck in the 30s. That's like two different seasons sharing one state line. Here's the deal. Step outside in the Baltimore Metro and you'll feel that light southwest breeze carrying 49 degrees of pure February kindness. That's almost spring, and your jacket might feel like overkill. Head west into Central Maryland and the thermometer drops to 39 degrees. Still pleasant, but you'll notice the difference. Now keep driving toward the mountains. Western Maryland greets you at 37 degrees with a westerly wind that makes it feel even cooler. The good news? Every region stays dry today. There's only a slight chance of a stray shower. Basically, leave the umbrella at home. Tonight, temperatures dip into the 30s statewide. Nothing dramatic. Just a quiet Friday night cool down. Here's your heads up for the week ahead. We're locked into a calm, dry pattern. Highs creep through the 40s over the weekend. By Tuesday, even the mountains could flirt with 50 degrees. That's the kind of slow warming trend that gets your crocuses thinking dangerous thoughts. Air quality sits at moderate today. Most folks won't notice, but sensitive groups should keep it in mind. One more thing worth celebrating. Sunrise hits at 6:33 tomorrow morning, and we're gaining almost three minutes of daylight every single day. Spring's not here yet, but it's lacing up its boots. Alright. If you're enjoying these morning updates, share the podcast with a friend. It really does help more people find us. Bundle up if you're out west, and enjoy that warmth along the coast. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
