New Gear, New Class, New Challenges

Quick life update: I’m back to podcasting after a break, trying a new  mic setup to simplify recording and editing. I’m testing new editing tools and hoping to post more directly from my phone. I’ve started paramedic school, ran a memorable psych call, and have been juggling work, gym time, and trying to make friends. Short-term goals are to improve my workflow, keep learning, and be more social while balancing school and shifts.

Letting Go to Grow: The Power of Forgiveness

Forgiveness is not for the person who wronged you but for your own healing, to free up the mental and emotional space that pain occupies. By letting go or finding understanding, you remove the control those past hurts have over your reactions and your future. This episode shares a personal story about my relationship with my grandmother, how a shift in perspective turned anger into compassion, and how finding a positive meaning in painful experiences can help you move forward, grow, and reclaim joy.

  3. 4

Calm the Storm: Use Curiosity to Defuse Anger

This episode teaches a simple tactic to manage anger: pause and question why you feel upset. You can’t be curious and angry at the same time, so asking why helps de-escalate emotions and reveals personal triggers. I share a story from a job conflict where being falsely accused sparked anger, and explains how reflecting on the cause, taking space, and shifting perspective led to growth and better emotional control.

Stop Living at 50%: Burn the Boats and Shine

This episode challenges the habit of living at 50%. going through the motions without true commitment and urges you to "burn the boats," choose a priority, and go all in. Using personal stories like EMT/paramedic school, it shows how full commitment creates momentum and meaningful progress. It also explains the importance of real rest: when you push yourself fully and achieve daily wins, you can genuinely switch off and regenerate mentally. The message: stop half-trying, commit to what matters, and balance intensity with true rest to find fulfillment.

When a Part of You Must Die to Grow

Change often requires us to shed parts of ourselves, old beliefs, comforts, and identities to make room for growth. This episode explores how discomfort rewires our brains, why we cling to predictability, and how intentionally facing hard moments leads to development. Listen in as I share a personal story of sitting alone, confronting buried feelings, and admitting “I don’t feel safe,” which triggered a profound shift in perspective and emotional growth. Listen for practical reflections on embracing discomfort, killing off limiting parts of yourself, and stepping into new roles.

Forgive to Free: Reclaim Your Life from Resentment

This episode explores forgiveness as a way to free yourself from pain and resentment, not to excuse others. It presents two practical approaches: opening a conversation to understand different perspectives, and forgiving yourself by examining the events that led to your choices. Learn how to turn hurt into lessons, recognize patterns to avoid future pain, and take back control of your emotions so past experiences no longer hold power over you.
