Following in the footsteps of his namesake father, the Hibernian, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest midfielder Peter Cormack Sr., Cormack started his career with Meadowbank, winning Reserve Team Player of the Year in both of his seasons with the club. He made only two first team appearances before being snapped up by Kevin Keegan's Newcastle United and enjoy a career as a full-time player in Scotland. Vic played for Meadowbank for just 15 months but left a lasting impression on the club, it's supporters, and the city of Edinburgh. He subsequently signed with Shrewsbury Town then undertook a European tour, covering off Ireland, Finland and Malta before retiring at 29.
