The Momma Happy Hour Podcast
by RACHEL WAKESHO MWANGEMI - ZULU
Welcome to the momma happy hour podcast! This is where I bring mothers together to have real, unscripted conversations. Its a space where they share their experiences, stories and truths about motherhood. When I became a mom I felt so lonely for someone who was always surrounded by my child and my hubby. There was no one really having real motherhood conversation and I felt like the I was the only one going through challenges in my motherhood journey because no one was really talking about it. And for the longest time that is what I thought motherhood was until one day I shared my real thoughts and feelings pertaining my motherhood journey and she said, me too... That is when I knew I needed to normalize real motherhood conversations and that is when the momma happy hour space was formed. A space to let you know that you are not alone momma.

It's important to talk about this because when you first become a momma, the whirlwind of new experiences can be both exhilarating and challenging. As time goes on, you begin to find your way back to the person you were before, integrating your new role as a mother into your identity. It's a journey of self-discovery, self-acceptance, and self-love, as you learn to balance your own needs and desires with the responsibilities of nurturing and raising your child. Through the ups and downs, you ultimately find that being a mother doesn't mean losing yourself, but rather, it's an opportunity to rediscover and redefine who you are in the most beautiful and meaningful way.Find her on the socials here:https://www.instagram.com/ladylovebug1/https://www.youtube.com/@mehlomakoolsthekoolklan1424

Getting your life- insurance together with Maryann Mnyindo Tairo
As a mother my primary thought is to always properly care and protect my child. This applies to even when I am not around. Securing my child's future is so important to me. This is why I reached out to a fellow momma and Lifestyle protection specialist Maryann to break down the importance of having an insurance cover for your child and family. When it comes to life insurance we always come across the term " Insurance is a scam". This is because we were using the tools incorrectly. Maryann breaks it down so nicely for us in a relatable way, using her own experience to teach on the importance of getting your life insurance together. She also runs her own company called lerisqueafrica. Click the link below to see what her services are about.https://www.instagram.com/lerisqueafrica/

PCOS & fertility with Aisha O'Reilly
In this episode I speak to Aisha about Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). It is a condition in which the ovaries produce an abnormal amount of androgens, male sex hormones that are usually present in women in small amounts. The name polycystic ovary syndrome describes the numerous small cysts (fluid-filled sacs) that form in the ovaries. She walks us through her journey of motherhood while having PCOS. The journey to motherhood is not always straight forward. Most women face challenges with fertility and they don't talk about it because they think they will be viewed as a failure or they will be judged by society. This is why I brought Aisha to speak on this topic to let you know that its okay to have fertility challenges and speak about it. Because over here we are changing the fertility narrative one conversation at a time. You can find Aisha on the socials herehttps://www.youtube.com/@AishaandLifehttps://www.instagram.com/aishaandlife/
