    The Lost King - Where Is King Harold Buried?

    The year 1066 in England is commonly known as the year of the Battle of Hastings. It was the battle that ended the Anglo-Saxon rule in England and opened the path for a new kingdom, a Norman kingdom, led by William The Conqueror. History though is cruel - it remember the victors. What happened though to King Harold? The Bayeux Tapestry depicts King Harold as famously being shot in the eye by an arrow. A fatal wound indeed. Where though, was he buried?     The Rise of the Dead

    In Victorian England, death was everywhere. Epidemics were rife, working conditions were unbearable for the poor and child mortality was high. Victorian graveyards were literally full, overflowing even. There was a trade in the dead though. Body snatchers operated under the cover of darkness to feed the demand for corpses - science required these for medical advancements to happen. However, during these dark days, there was a greater horror. In the panic to bury the dead quickly, did anyone really check to see if the deceased were really dead...?
