    TOAM Episode #202 -- Chain Reaction (1996)

Our intrepid band of three waded through another followup to The Fugitive, hoping to find a tighter, more engaging drama. But even the return of Andrew Davis could not save the 1996 lukewarm action vehicle, Chain Reaction. About the only thing that's not lukewarm in this movie is Rachel Weisz when she's contracting hypothermia. Along the way, our hosts discuss strange accents, scientific hocus-pocus, and pour out another one for Neil Flynn. Stay through to the end to find out about our upcoming new podcast! TOAM Episode #201 -- U.S. Marshals (1998)

One hard target search has ended, but now another begins! Roger and Susan are covering the sequel-esque movie US Marshals, and this time around intern co-host Todd Kehoe has been promoted to full time host. The three of us follow Sam Gerard and his team of marshals as they hit the road to capture Sheridan, a tow truck driver, escaped prisoner, and maybe a spy? Robert Downey Jr. tags along, because why not. In this episode we discuss the movie (there will be spoilers), run through a series of categories, take a quiz, and then give our personal ratings. Join us again next month when we tackle Chain Reaction, the most Andrew Davissy movie of the Andrew Davis collection. TOAM Episode #126 -- I Thought You Didn't Care

Minute 126 is escorted to the US Marshal's car along with Kimble. The innocent Dr. Kimble is put in the backseat and Sam joins him. Sam takes the cuffs off Kimble and tosses them carelessly towards the front seat. Poole hands Sam an ice pack, which he then hands to the rather beat up Kimble. Kimble just stares at him, and then says he thought that Sam didn't care. Sam tries to claim he doesn't, which is clearly a lie. He asks Kimble to keep his secret. With a whack-whack-whack on the roof, the car pulls away from the hotel. TOAM Episode #125 -- I'm Taking My Vacation

We begin the denouement of the film in minute 125. Kimble can finally breathe because it's over. Out front of the hotel, the detective stereotypes try to answer questions without admitting their investigation was a complete shambles and incomplete. Cosmo gets wheeled out by paramedics and is going to take some vacation. Team Sam escorts a cuffed Kimble out of the hotel as reporters throw questions at them. TOAM Episode #124 -- The Best Minute

Minute 124 is the climax of the movie, with Nichols popping out behind Sam with a gun, but Sam is saved by Kimble. Sam holds his fire because Kimble has this in hand. He approaches Kimble, and Richard tells him that Nichols and the others killed his wife. Sam says that he knows it, and he's glad, because he needs a rest. TOAM Episode #123 -- Time To Stop Running

Steamy minute 123 sees Cosmo making his way through the laundry room while Sam explains the plot of the murder. Poor Cosmo takes an I-beam to the face. Sam tells Kimble he is either lying or he's going to shoot him, which sort of mean the same thing? Nichols picks up a gun. Kimble brings a lead pipe to a gunfight. Sam tells Kimble it's time to stop running because this movie is already over two hours. 11. 124

    TOAM Episode #122 -- I Know You're Innocent

The shadows are creeping around in minute 122 as Sam tries to track Kimble in the laundry. Kimble sees a hotel laundry worker, who can't hear the evacuation order because of his earphones, watching the goings on through a window. Deputy Sam calls out to Kimble to tell him he has no time, the CPD will shoot him on sight, and that he knows Kimble is innocent and about Sykes. Hosts: Susan Hill & Roger WistarSpecial Guest: Todd KehoeFacebook: www.facebook.com/groups/onearmedminute/Twitter & Instagram: @onearmedminuteEmail: [email protected] to Kevin Zeigler for our podcast art.

  12. 123

TOAM Episode #121 -- Much Too Hot

Minute 121 is much too hot so Deputy Sam wants the CPD kept out of it. He evacuates the laundry, then tells Cosmo to follow him. They begin a game of cat and mouse in the laundry with Kimble looking at shadows, Sam pointing, and Cosmo wrestling with a bit of string. Hosts: Susan Hill & Roger WistarSpecial Guest: Todd Kehoe Facebook: www.facebook.com/groups/onearmedminute/Twitter & Instagram: @onearmedminuteEmail: [email protected] to Kevin Zeigler for our podcast art.

TOAM Episode #120 -- Right Behind You, Sam

The laundry is where minute 120 begins, with Nichols hobbling along. Sam and Cosmo race down a stairwell. The elevator door starts to close but at the last second, an arm and bloody hand appear to stop it. Kimble, looking worse than he has since he escaped carbonite-- No, strike that--looking worse than he has since he escaped the train wreck, makes his way into the laundry to play cat and mouse with Nichols. Sam and Cosmo arrive on the fifth floor, another elevator disgorges Biggs and Henry, and Biggs wants to know what the hell is going on. 14. 121

TOAM Episode #119 -- Going Down?

We plunge down an elevator shaft into minute 119, with Nichols crashing into the service elevator while Kimble lands on the roof of it. Sam stops Cosmo from opening fire on the two men and then tells Cosmo to tell him where the elevator goes. Cosmo asks Newman. Newman asks the security guards in the office. Nichols wakes up and stops the elevator. The doors open and he hobbles his way into what looks like the hotel laundry room. 15. 120

TOAM Episode #118 -- I Don't Want To Get Shot!

Minute 118 limps across the roof with Nichols, while the heli-cops shoot at Kimble. Sam again orders Newman to call off the helicopter because he doesn't want to get shot by accident, so Newman does tell them to stand down. Now that he is not being shot at, Kimble again tries to catch up with Nichols and is again ambushed. Punches are thrown, Nichols makes another break for it and is tackled by Kimble into a skylight. They tussle as Sam heads their way, but the skylight won't hold and the two medicos fall through it. 16. 119

TOAM Episode #117 -- You Take Him Out

Rolling down stairs into minute 117, Nichols makes a painful landing then hobbles off. The heli-cops bark orders to stay where you are, put your hands up, etc. Deputy Sam enters the suite where the tussle began and sees the remains of the broken chair before heading out onto the roof too. Newman tells him KImble is on the north end of the roof. Sam wants the helicopter gone, but down below, Detective Stereotype tells his heli-cops that as soon as they have a clear shot, they take it. Hosts: Susan Hill & Roger WistarSpecial Guest: Jarrod SiskFacebook: www.facebook.com/groups/onearmedminute/Twitter & Instagram: @onearmedminuteEmail: [email protected] to Kevin Zeigler for our podcast art.

  17. 118

TOAM Episode #116 -- Nerd Fight!

Things start to heat up in minute 116 as Nichols is tired of Kimble's tenacity. A tussle follows with Nichols having the upper hand for a while before Kimble plays more dirty and knees him....somewhere. They stumble out of some doors to find themselves on the roof of the hotel. Back in the ballroom, Deputy Sam and his team are escorted by security who give a cabin crew description of the exits in the room. Newman spots Kimble on the roof and tells Sam. A helicopter circles the roof while the two MDs tussle, ending with Kimble kicking Nichols down a flight of metal stairs. 18. 117

TOAM Episode #115 -- The Ballroom Blitz

Accusations fly in the ballroom in minute 115. Nichols tries to lead Kimble out of the room but Kimble is hot on his heels, sharing the spotlight (literally) with him. They leave the ballroom as Team Sam still walks through the hotel. Meanwhile, Nichols has finally gotten ahead of Kimble, so when Kimble goes into a room to try and find him, he gets hit over the head with a chair. TOAM Episode #114 -- Paging Dr. Freud

Listening to Nichols make Freudian mistakes in his keynote is how we begin minute 114. Kimble wanders through the increasingly disquieted crowd toward the podium and Nichols tries to power on, but eventually has to give up as no one is listening to his sales pitch. He addresses Kimble, who accuses him of dishonesty. Nichols claims Kimble is not feeling well (he is bleeding) and invites his friend to speak at the side of the room. As we end the minute, Kimble starts to accuse Nichols of changing the samples. Hosts: Susan Hill & Roger WistarSpecial Guest: David T. Minute 113 swarms into the hotel with cops and Team Sam entering the lobby. Sam sends Newman to the security office with his walkie talkie. Back in the ballroom, keynote speaker Dr. Nichols is giving his stump speech for Provasic. He gets immediately distracted, though, when he spots a grumpy Harrison Ford, arms crossed, at the back of the room. Hosts: Susan Hill & Roger WistarSpecial Guest: David T. TOAM Episode #112 -- Arrest Me

We are introduced to minute 112 with the man still introducing Nichols, announcing that Dr. Nichols is on the board of directors for Devlin McGregor. Nichols starts to speak as Kimble makes his way through the hotel and into the elevator. Out front of the Chicago Hilton, Deputy Sam is met by Newman and Biggs. He tells the Chicago PD that Kimble is his man, but they feel otherwise since they assume, without bias at all, that Kimble shot the cop. They tell Sam to stay the hell out, Sam tells the detectives to arrest them. Cops arrive from all over and swarm through the hotel. Hosts: Susan Hill & Roger WistarSpecial Guest: David T. SmithFacebook: www.facebook.com/groups/onearmedminute/Twitter & Instagram: @onearmedminuteEmail: [email protected] to Kevin Zeigler for our podcast art.

  22. 113

    TOAM Episode #111 -- I Know Where He's Going

Minute 111 starts in the car where Deputy Sam can't believe that Kimble shot a cop, and Cosmo tells that is a very bad thing. Helicopters search overhead while in a ballroom, someone is introducing Dr. Nichols as their keynote speaker. Cops are pouring into the mall, Kimble is climbing an escalator (still bleeding), and the radio tells Sam that Kimble is at the mall. Cosmo and Deputy Sam now know where he's going, so Sam turns the car around and Cosmo wants to know Biggs' and Newman's whereabouts. TOAM Episode #110 -- Richie Two-Guns

We exit the EL-train into minute 110, where Kimble continues to make his getaway, trying to look nonchalant despite being disheveled and bleeding. Deputy Sam gets the news that Kimble was spotted on the EL and the team leaps into action. Kimble meanwhile enters a mall and puts two guns in the mailbox without postage. As the US Marshal car races to the scene, a voice on the radio announces that a transit cop is down and Kimble is the suspect. We get a brief glimpse of Deputy Sam's "WOT?" face. 24. 111

TOAM Episode #109 -- You Missed Your Stop

The train obsession continues in minute 109 as Kimble tries to disarm (every pun intended) Sykes. After some more fight, Kimble incapacitates Sykes by hitting him with his gun. Kimble checks for a pulse on the transit cop, then steals his handcuffs to make sure that Sykes can't escape the scene. He makes a movie quip then knocks Sykes unconscious, which leaves him free to kick out a train window and escape onto the nearby platform. 25. 110

TOAM Episode #108 -- My Dumb Line Too

The EL-train passenger escapes minute 108 into the next car to inform the transit cop that Kimble is on board. Our view of the cop and passenger is then obscured by Sykes, who is also on the train. Sykes points a gun at Kimble while the transit cop calls in that he's got a possible sighting of Kimble. Sykes tells Kimble that this is his stop, and Kimble says it is his stop too. That is when the transit cop busts in as a distraction, only to promptly get shot by Sykes. Kimble pulls the emergency brake and the slowing train tosses everyone around. Kimble takes advantage and punches Sykes in the face. TOAM Episode #107 -- Awkward Subway Moments

Minute 107 finds Sam looking at an arrest report before Poole surprises him with the news that Sykes has managed to slip out of his apartment without Chicago's finest noticing. On the EL train, Kimble sits across from a passenger who is reading a newspaper with Kimble's face on the front. The man looks at the newspaper, then at Kimble, and really subtly gets up, and subtly makes his way down the train to exit the carriage. Another member of the team comes in to tell Sam that he checked Sykes' record for two years and he has no connection with Lentz. But records show that Kimble called Sykes from his car phone on the night of Helen's murder, so Sam wants Sykes brought in for questioning and to see Kimble's arrest report. Kimble realizes who, and is off to see a friend. Sam is getting a headache with the surprising revelation that Bones saw Kimble, who was picking up tissue samples. And the person who approves that was Nichols. Now Team Sam knows that Nichols knows Lentz, and that Nichols is a LYING LIAR!
