The Owlpod
by owlpod
The "owlpod" is a show about people. Whoever we are, whatever we're going through - we all have stories that may inspire someone. It's called the "owlpod" because I usually do my editing at night in the comfort of my tiny bedroom in Brownsville, Texas. Figured I'd explain the name.We are Albert Monrroy and Steven Michael Masso. We're both communication majors at UTRGV and we love interviewing people. We're both also focused on broadcasting, so this will be a great project and we hope you enjoy our content. If you have an issue you'd like to bring up (about music or about information in an episode) feel free to email me (Albert) at:[email protected]

09 - Music
Something I've learned from this episode: Drink some water after eating and before conducting an interview. Seriously, sorry for the scruffy throat, but that didn't change my interest in this interview with Carlos Vasquez and Tiffany Nerio; really cool people with real talent. My passion for singing and choir has definitely been rekindled as well as a great appreciation for clarinet players. 05 - Nostalgia (with Alissa)
Nostalgia is a tricky thing, we wish we were younger, but we're better off grown-up. Either way, we're sacrificing something: our time or our freedoms. I spoke to Alissa, a computer science major about her experiences with nostalgia and I ended up having a more positive outlook on being a grown-up vs. wishing I was a kid again.
