Charles Eisenstein: Calling Men to Peace Series 1: Power in the State of Peace
Hosted by Eva DalakProduced and Co-hosted with J'aime RothbardWhat's the worst thing that can happen when recording a conversation with somebody who you hold in high esteem and admire greatly? Here's the answer: Listen to the entire conversation blossom, unfurl and come to close before you realize that you forgot to press record. That's precisely what happened in our first run sitting down with speaker and writer Charles Eisenstein, and that's where we kick off this second conversation. We open with podcast producer J'aime retelling the story of the first conversation between Eva and Charles - key points including:presencing the power of magic and miracles into spaces where all hope feels lost, where sheer reality would suggest faliure is inevitable. Why we would be wise to become curious in spaces that at first glance may summon our defenses and judgement. How the power of welcoming our triggered responses into the light with loving grace is the key to becoming wholly who we are.All of that sat well and wondrous until J'aime realized the conversation had gone on without ever having pressed the record button. Can you feel your stomach dropping out of your body with this realization? Stick around to find out what actually happened - how this mistake which J'aime expected would lead to her being casted into a state of exhile was met with something else: Peace. This is the first in a series we are exploring, Calling Men to Peace. Here, Charles reflects with us as we inquire into what men need to feel and believe about themselves to enter into arenas of service, peace and healing. Somatic Integration. But first, the Love Story. with Fabrice Renaudin
In this episode, J’aime is joined by Fabrice Renaudin to explore how somatic integration becomes a living tool within the methodology of Peace Activation. But first, the Love Story of how he and Eva danced into one another on the Playa at Burning Man in 2008. Together, Eva and Fabrice never stopped dancing. With their labor of love, Peace Activation, they are moving beyond theory and into the body: where healing, truth, and transformation actually and naturally occur.Fabrice shares how movement is not performance, but a language of the body. A way to meet what lives inside us : emotion, memory, tension, joy, without needing to explain or fix it.Through this lens, peace is no longer an abstract idea. It becomes something we practice, moment by moment, through presence, sensation, and movement. This conversation invites listeners to shift from thinking and analyzing into to feeling and allowing. We are coming back to our bodies as our authorities. When we center on moving from seeking to control the body to instead attuning to and listening to it, we are starting a quiet and powerful revolution.May 22-28 2026: We invite you to come and join us for a very special Peace Activation Immersion with us at Zen Rocks in Greece. Storytelling Short: Decades Deep, Stories from Eva's Field of Peacework
Host Eva Dak welcomes returning guest Nada Elrhalami to discuss how Eva’s 25+ years working with the UN, EU, and NGOs across 22+ conflict zones shaped Peace Activation. Eva shares an example from Iraq in 2015, facilitating 60 women from different tribes and religions to move from hatred and tension toward heart-centered connection and community action to reduce violence against women, noting similar work in India and parts of Africa. She critiques peacebuilding as a paid “business” that often misses attitude shift, and argues conflict is both danger and opportunity, including how institutions and governments can fuel fear and how aid can function as neo-colonialism. Eva describes her 2010 UN burnout, studying spiritual psychology, and integrating a trauma-responsive approach, nervous system regulation, somatics, yoga, and embodied practice into Peace Activation offerings. If you feel called to deepen this work, Eva and Nada invite you to join their 7-week Peace Activation training, where participants will learn the foundational tools of this methodology—including trauma awareness, nervous system regulation, relational listening, and embodied peace practices. This training is designed for anyone seeking practical tools to navigate conflict, cultivate resilience, and contribute to a more peaceful world.Registration is now open for the Peace Activation 7-week Foundation Online Training Next Cohort: April 9th - May 21st, 2026ResourcesLearn more about Peace Activation Eva DalakEva's book, Dancing in the DarkEvents7-Day Peace Activation Immersion Retreat in Greece at Zen Rocks, May 22-28 2026 Subscribe to the Peace Activation Newsletter to receive event updates

Beyond Polarization: From Reaction to Response, with Nada Elrhalami
In this episode of the Peace Activation Podcast, Eva Dalak is joined by collaborator Nada Elrhalami, founder of Peacelab, for a deep and timely conversation about the relevance of the Peace Activation methodology in a world marked by war, polarization, and collective trauma.Speaking from her perspective as a first-generation Afghan-Moroccan American and peacebuilding scholar, Nada brings forward the questions many people are asking today:Is peace even possible in the current geopolitical climate? How do we stay informed and engaged without becoming overwhelmed, reactive, or consumed by conflict?Eva shares how Peace Activation is not about avoiding conflict, but about developing the capacity to remain centered and regulated within it. At a time when global events constantly trigger anger, fear, and polarization, this methodology offers tools to help regulate nervous systems, reconnect with inner sovereignty, and respond rather than react.Together, Eva and Nada explore how unresolved trauma fuels collective violence, why peace must begin within the individual, and how each of us can contribute to a larger field of peace—even when we are not in the direct zone of conflict. They also speak candidly about the emotional toll of witnessing war from afar, the danger of polarization, and the importance of cultivating empathy, presence, and relational listening in difficult conversations.Ultimately, this episode is an invitation to reclaim personal agency and discover how inner transformation can lead to meaningful collective action. If you feel called to deepen this work, Eva and Nada invite you to join their 7-week Peace Activation training, where participants will learn the foundational tools of this methodology—including trauma awareness, nervous system regulation, relational listening, and embodied peace practices. This training is designed for anyone seeking practical tools to navigate conflict, cultivate resilience, and contribute to a more peaceful world.ResourcesLearn more about Peace Activation Eva DalakEva's book, Dancing in the DarkEvents7-Day Peace Activation Immersion Retreat in Greece at Zen Rocks, May 22-28 2026 Subscribe to the Peace Activation Newsletter to receive event updatesPeace Activation Immersion Retreat in Greece at Zen Rocks, May 22-28 2026 Subscribe to the Peace Activation Newsletter to receive event updates

I Am Here to Speak: Motherwounds, Guilty Saviors & Evolving Consciousness
“I saw seven generations of women in my mother’s lineage… each one carrying what she promised to do. And when I asked what I had committed to, the answer was: You committed to speak.”Today Eva Dalak and J’aime explore the intersection of trauma, identity, service, and consciousness. Eva reflects on her lived experience growing up as a Palestinian citizen of Israel, the inherited trauma carried through generations of women in her family, and how that lineage ultimately shaped her calling to speak truth and cultivate peace.Through storytelling, spiritual reflection, and somatic awareness, the conversation invites listeners into a powerful understanding of intergenerational healing, collective trauma, and the evolution of consciousness required to transform inner conflict into service.Eva shares the story of her grandmother and mother—both born during times of intense violence and displacement—and describes how the experiences carried in their bodies and choices echo through generations. She reveals a profound moment of meditation in which she saw seven generations of women in her maternal lineage, each carrying a commitment that ultimately led to her own purpose: to speak truth and serve through awakening consciousness. The episode also explores the shift from trauma awareness to trauma responsibility, and how personal healing is essential for anyone seeking to lead or facilitate change.Listeners are invited to reflect on three powerful questions that guide Eva’s life and work:Who am I beyond the identities I carry? Why am I here? How can I serve? The conversation concludes with a simple but powerful nervous system practice—the Butterfly Hug—a reminder that healing begins with self-regulation, compassion, and reconnecting with the body.

Fire Without Burnout: Peace Activation in the Year of the Fire Horse
Featuring Eva Dalak, hosted and produced by J'aime Rothbard.“If I am an empty cup, the last thing I want to do is serve.” - Eva DalakWe’ve just stepped into the Year of the Fire Horse — a year known in Chinese astrology for bold movement, passion, and powerful forward momentum. Fire Horse energy can mobilize us. It can awaken courage. It can stir urgency. But it can also burn us out if we’re not resourced. In this episode, Eva gives us a privileged glimpse into her three-week journey facilitating peacebuilding workshops across Israel and Palestine — and why tending to our inner state isn’t a luxury, but the foundation for long-term peace.Moving between vastly different realities — from militarized checkpoints and hosting spaces to witness intergenerational grief, returning to lush, restorative landscapes of Costa Rica where she lives part-time — Eva shares what it means to embody peace in places where peace feels almost impossible. Rather than pushing harder, she speaks about becoming steadier. More regulated. More present. The conversation offers a sacred peek into the workshops Eva was engaged in on a daily basis: from nervous system resilience workshops with Palestinian women leaders, facilitated heart-centered dialogue between bereaved Israeli and Palestinian families through the parents circles and family forums. Eva also shares about her collaborations with Roni Oren, Dalit Eliahu and Yonathan Shimriz to carry out a key intention of Peace Activation to work with Israeli civic leaders during these intensely polarized times.Eva elucidates the difference between peace activism and Peace Activation — cultivating inner safety, regulation, and embodied presence so that our actions arise from clarity rather than reaction, denial of others' experiences, and force. In a year fueled by fire and heat, this is a conversation about tending your flame — staying resourced, connected to nature and self, and becoming the space for peace instead of burning out by fighting for it.Registration is now open for the Peace Activation 7-week Foundation Online Training Next Cohort: April 9th - May 21st, 2026ResourcesLearn more about Peace Activation Eva DalakEva's book, Dancing in the DarkOne Whole Peace - Eva and Dalit’s co-founded initiative Dalit Eliahu Two fingers : A tapping song from RwandaEvents7-Day Peace Activation Immersion Retreat in Greece at Zen Rocks, May 22-28 2026 Subscribe to the Peace Activation Newsletter to receive event updatesPodcasts Peace In the Midst of Conflict : A Conversation with DalitFrom Soldier to We Are One : Awakening Beyond Enemy Lines with Rani Oren

“My Comfort Zone Was Conflict Zones"
In this inaugural episode, Eva Dalak and producer J’aime Rothbard mark the rebirthing of Peace is Possible, ushering in the Peace Activation Podcast on the sacred anniversary of Eva’s father’s birth. Weaving together stories of grief, dissolving of identity and judgment, and experiences that deepened her embodiment of peace, Eva affirms that “We are light that came here to experience the darkness.”Eva shares how her father’s passing initiated a profound descent that reshaped her life, how meeting her husband at Burning Man reflected soul recognition and releasing the familiar. She shares how losing her eyesight for two years left her to see her own shadows clearly, restored her inner vision and reframed how she conceived of peacework. Drawing from decades of peacework in conflict zones, Eva's appraoch to conflict transformation integrates trauma-informed leadership, spiritual psychology, embodied feminine wisdom, and somatic activation to create the pillars of her Peace Activation methodology. Peace activation goes beyond war zones. Eva reminds us that restoring peace is an inside job: we cannot wait to be saved any more than we can wait for our world leaders to create peace outside of us. Listen in to connect with this approach to reclaiming inner responsibility, and activating peace from the inside out by unifying the fragmented parts within, in this present moment.Resources:Learn more about Peace Activation Peace Activation YouTube Eva DalakEva's book, Dancing in the DarkEvents: Peace Activation Immersion Retreat in Greece at Zen Rocks, May 22-28 2026 Peace Activation 7-week training begins April 2, RSVP to [email protected]

The Artistry of Peacebuilding, with Lena Slachmuijlder
”Both journalists and theater practitioners and artists and musicians – have been some of the most powerful people that have taught me these lessons. And we often can find ourselves denigrating or dismissing creativity and imagination. We are often rewarded for a more analytical fact-based view of things, and yet that often holds us back from seeing where our lines of perception can meet.”Host Eva Dalak interviews Lena Slachmuijlder, whose ongoing journey spans from South Africa's anti-apartheid activism to pioneering efforts in media and technology-based peacebuilding. After living and working in Africa for 21 years, with many of those years in active war zones for peaceful coexistence Lena shares her experiences in fostering social justice, working with Search for Common Ground, and her current focus on the intersection of peace building and technology. Their discussion illuminates key steps about how we can reframe the impacts of tech and AI : why activating peace from within is a key step in de-polarizing social media, and why pro-social tech design can cultivate social cohesion. Lena's stories from conflict zones around the world highlight the importance of trust, dialogue, and the human capacity to change. For nearly 3 decades, Lena has been offering her unique blueprint of having worked for peace and social change, as a journalist, writer, producer, performing artist, trainer, and project director.
