The Perch Season 2, Ep 8. - Nurturing the Student Athlete Experience
The Perch Season 2, Ep 8. - Nurturing the Student Athlete ExperienceDavid Holm - Director of Athletics at The Kinkaid School."I find that two of the greatest accomplishments this year, and in the past have been how we celebrate the student-athlete experience and our teacher-coach-mentor philosophy, two pillars of our Athletic & Physical Education Department and foundational for an education-based athletic program. While occasionally these are celebrated in the limelight, and seen by the general public, they most often appear in the hundreds of “quiet conversations” and individual actions that go on in practices, in classrooms and in the halls at Kinkaid. To get a good sense of this, I encourage you to listen to this week’s podcast of The Perch to hear two of our finest student-athletes discuss how athletics at Kinkaid has helped them prepare for their next chapter in life. I also encourage you to come out over the next two weeks to cheer on our teams as they hit the “home stretch,” and we can support their efforts. All of this just reiterates to me that today is A GREAT DAY TO BE A FALCON!"
