Why I started Porous Pod
An open space for the inner voices of young researchers like you —So, I’ve been sitting with this idea for a while. During my PhD research, I wish there was a space where people could share the things we often don’t get to say in academic or professional settings. Like the messy parts of research. The emotional parts. The quiet doubts. The politics. The thinking processes, failures, and regrets that the publishing culture cannot quite capture. The early ideas that aren’t ready to be published, but still matter. And I have experienced them all. I’ve also felt how isolating it can be, especially early in my research career — trying to navigate my own direction, while also dealing with expectations, hierarchies, and sometimes… just a sense of not quite fitting in...If you’re a student, a young researcher, or just someone trying to make sense of your place in design or academia — this podcast is for you.Leave me a comment if you have something to share with me. I’d love to hear your stories too :)
