In his shortened first season during the pandemic, CJ still managed to put up 8 points in just 12 games. But it was in the 2021-2022 season that he truly exploded, racking up 92 points in 47 games, earning him the Top Forward Award in the VIJHL and leading the Generals to their first finals appearance since 2008. As a co-captain in his final year of Junior B, CJ outdid himself with 103 points in 42 games and scored the championship-clinching goal in Game 6 of the finals.
