The Conclusion: 9 Tasks of Building a Good Marriage!
In this episode my husband and I conclude our conversation about the 9 tasks of building a good marriage. This episode got REAL! We opened up about our struggles with handling conflict as well as our thoughts on sex within marriage. Tea was spilled, laughs were had, and good nuggets were dropped. We hope you enjoy! "The Good Marriage" book link https://a.co/d/fJYGA9D The 9 Tasks List Separate emotionally from the family you grew up with so you can fully invest in the marriage you’re building and also redefine the connection with both families of origin (merging two families together) Build togetherness while creating space for autonomy Embrace the daunting roles of parenting while protecting your privacy Confront and master the inevitable crises of life, while keeping a strong bond in the midst of adversity To create a safe space for expressions of differences, anger, and conflict Establish a rich and pleasurable sex life and protect it from the busyness of everyday life and obligations Use laughter and humor to keep things in perspective and avoid boredom aka have fun together To provide nurturance and comfort to each other, satisfying each partner’s needs for dependency and offering continuing encouragement and support. Keep alive the early romantic memories of falling in love while facing the sober realities of how things have changed over the years ~Reese J

Why you gotta be so insecure?
The answer to that question is- YOU DON'T! But most of us deal with insecurity in one way or another. Today we are opening up a three-part series on "enemies to the restart". We don't need any extra weights keeping us from being our best, successful selves. In this episode we start with insecurity. We talk about what it is, how it may be working in your life, and how we can work to overcome this enemy.

Starting Again
Starting anything over again can be the scariest thing to do. It takes a lot of courage to even consider doing "it" again, especially if you feel like you've failed at it before. But what if failure wasn't really failure? What if it was just a sign to make an adjustment and keep going? That's what we're going to talk about today. Dear Diary………..
What’s up Rehab Roommates!!!! Welcome to another chitchat with me. This episode is very different than my previous episodes. It’s exactly as the title says: It’s a dear diary segment! Today I turned on my mic and I shared what’s been going on with me personally and how I’m navigating this different season of my life. It’s very raw and transparent, and yes it’s a little emotional. But I felt so much better after I recorded this! Hopefully it will encourage you to take care of yourself in this season, because you are IMPORTANT! So enjoy this episode and I will see you again soon 😘💕

What’s up Rehab Roommates! Are y’all ready for a story? Well I have one to share with you that goes with our last discussion on how we think about ourselves. Self-Series: What do you think about YOU?
Have you ever stopped and wondered what you think about YOU? We often make it a habit of asking others what they think about us but what matters more is what WE think about ourselves. In today’s episode, we’re going to explore this topic as we enter into a new series called The Self-Series. Over the next few weeks, we’re going to navigate how we think, what we speak, and how we see ourselves. It’s a lot to unpack but it’s so important to talk about. Today we’re gonna take an inventory of how we think about us. We’re gonna expose that inner bully as well as learn how to neutralize negative thinking patterns that try to rob us of our progress. It’s time to dig a little deeper! So join me now for another conversation in The Rehab Room💕

Can we talk about commitment?!
The first step we took was admitting how we feel about our individual journeys aka our process. Then we decided it was time we embraced it. Now we have to take yet another vital step- it’s time to commit! You’ve been stagnant and laid back for long enough. It’s time to commit to the process and start seeing real results. It can be easier said than done and we’re gonna talk about what’s holding you back. Could it be fear? Past failures? Self-Doubt???? I’m not sure what’s holding you back, but I can tell you this- I’m not letting you stay comfortable with sleeping on yourself! So let’s go 💪🏾

Embracing the process…….
In part two of our conversation about process, we’re going to talk about embracing the journey. You will never get from where you are to where you want to be if you don’t embrace the path you have to take. In this episode I kept it real about one of my MIDDLES and how I’m learning to accept the steps I need to take in order to be successful. I’m facing and embracing, and I’m encouraging you to do the same!

Help! I don’t like process…….
Can we all be honest and say we don’t really like process that much??? If we could skip over it, we all would. But we can’t. And sometimes that sucks! In today’s episode, I’m going to share my raw feelings as it relates to process. You’re going to hear my views about it and why I don’t care for it all that much. At the end of our conversation, I’m going to share some things you can implement in your own life as you navigate the middle of your personal process, whatever that may be!
