    The Desert Plaza Interview

About THE DESERT PLAZA:Formed in London in 2023, THE DESERT PLAZA draw on influences such as Catfish & The Bottlemen, Nothing But Thieves and The Killers — delivering a modern blend of warm, sun-drenched, arena-sized hooks and introspective songwriting that moves seamlessly between light and shade. THE DESERT PLAZA came together following vocalist Luca’s move to London from Modena, Italy - chasing his dream of forming a band and sharing his passion for creating something original. In their early stages, the music already caught the attention of respected producers Julian Emery (Nothing But Thieves, The Amazons) and Paul Stacey (Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Oasis), underlining the band’s potential.

    Silver Bullet Smile Interview

SBS has been in the making for an 2 and a half years, writing songs and creating our sound in a small bedroom in Spring Hill, Florida, just outside of Tampa. When we finally started recording our songs, we didn’t realize the challenges we would face with finding a studio that could mix and master our songs. We just couldn’t find that engineer that could give us the sound we were looking for. We tried many studios with no success. We decided to bite the bullet, no pun intended and reach out to the Hideout studio in Las Vegas. We were very fortunate to work with the same engineer that worked with so many of the same bands we were fans of. This being, Tristan Hardin. He is engineer and coproducer on all SBS songs. We currently have 6 songs completed, Man In The Moon, Prey, Reckoning and Dogma and the House of Stone. The power ballad, Reckoning grabs its listeners with relatable lyric content and powerful music. The band: Thursday Bodhi: Vocals, lyrics. Paul Riffman: Rhythm and lead guitars.Niko Sevens: Drums and percussion. Fisher: Bass guitar. All music written by Silver Bullet Smile.

    Hobson Interview

Hobson are a Leeds based 7 piece indie/rock band with too many influences to name. Their songsare a salute to old school bands and songwriting with a few twists and quirks thrown in.After a couple of early versions of 2 of the album tracks were played on BBC Introducing, the banddecided to invest in some real studio time to produce Falling As We Fly, an eclectic mix of genrebending tracks with that definitive Hobson sound.Acoustic & melodic guitars from Chris and Adam, bright brassy tones from Zena and Leigh, drivingdrum and bass from Sandi and Chris, all brought together with harmonies and that sweet lead vocalfrom Kelly. From the ‘in your face’ opening track ‘Shake Your Head’ to the subtle aching ‘Siren’ this album is atestament to the band's skill, creativity and ability to create a unique sound and original music thatfeels like an old friend.http://www.hobsonband.com/Websitehttp://www.twitter.com/hobsonbandWebsitehttps://soundcloud.com/hobsonbandWebsite

    Crashface Interview

The electro-punk upstarts are back, and they mean business. This is a furious non-stop thrill ride, equipped with seething vocals, buzzsaw riffs, Slayer-esque divebombs and Matlock's feral vocal feature serving as the cherry on this bloodsoaked cake. Written as an ode to embracing crazy - something that the music definitely communicates - this represents a release of pent up frustration at the state of the modern world, and it's a sentiment that a lot of us share. Especially right now while the UK especially seems to be the epitome of craziness.

    Ghost interview with Tobias Forge

Ghost is a Swedish rock band known for combining costumed theatricality, heavy metal, and arena rock. Formed in Linköping in 2006, the band released their debut album, Opus Eponymous in 2010, which earned them international recognition. This was followed by Infestissumam in 2013 and in 2015 by Meliora, which reached number one in Sweden and number eight in the US. This was followed by the albums Prequelle in 2018 and Impera in 2022. The band's upcoming sixth studio album, Skeletá is set for release in 2025.

    Figo from King Ern

KING ERN comes from the heart of Berlin and was founded in May 2019 by singer Ferdinand aka Figo and got his friend Paul on drums and Phil on guitar. However, Phil had to leave the band a month later. In June 2019, Figo met guitarist Daniel, who is still largely responsible for the sound and songwriting to this day. Since it is our first band, it took time not only to compose songs, but also to find our style. Our debut EP NO RUSH was released in summer 2023 and the single DROP was released in summer 2024. Guitars and bass on all released songs were played by Daniel. Our first sign of life, however, can be heard in the 2022 collaboration song OUT OF THE NORM, a hip-pop-meets-thrashmetal-meets-rap production with Simmi the Profit (USA), KING ERN (Berlin, Germany) and Kurnel MC (NZ)

    Dan from Plastic Barricades

Hey you, the curious and the lonesome! You are probably on a quest for a “once upon a time…” kind of story, where the struggling musicians discover their true genius at the very bottom and then become spoiled with attention, start acting like “rock-stars”, sell their souls to the Devil and ruin some lives along the way, but then find forgiveness and peace in the art itself, settling for a quiet and a bit reclusive life on a farm in the south of somewhere.Well, all that did happen, but it will take a long while to describe on a random website in the vast ocean of the Internet. Besides, I am sure you’ve heard it all before. So how about instead we will just explain what Plastic Barricades are for.Ever felt truly alone in your personal quest for meaning? Lonesome in a big crowd of cheerful friends? Never truly fitting in the online world of instant gratification and permanent records? Awkward in front of a camera or on a dance floor? Daydreaming in that beautiful world of literature and art? Experiencing strong feelings when listening to music? Feeling truly sorry for the cruelty of the world and looking for ways to make it a bit better? If you have answered “yes” to at least some of these – congratulations, you are in the right place. We believe that any art form can have truly transformative powers and soothe a wounded soul. The world today needs empathy more than ever – and art helps with that. Humankind has suffered enough. The Planet has suffered enough. In the times when we are all connected we somehow feel even more alone. This can change if we embrace our differences and celebrate our kindness, open our hearts to change and fight our fears for the sake of reinventing ourselves. We play music because we just cannot stop feeling things that need expressing – and making noises through speakers is the only way we’ve learnt. This is how we look for answers to the difficult questions and find some peace in the turbulent times.Let’s feel things together – and let’s be better together!
